I am thinking to put a door smart lock with finger print access, etc. Any suggestions?
Suggestions for Door Smart Lock?

I have two external doors with Eufy locks and been great. My kids come home from school and can let themselves in using their fingerprint without me having to worry about them losing keys
Which Eufy?
Smart lock touch
Is the idea with this lock that u then change the door handle to keyless passage style handle? Worried the kids will lock the old door handle to render this useless 😄
@lickjimmy1: Correct. You only need a passage handle and you can get some decent external ones from Bunnings
@Dollar General: Nice. Thanks DG
Stick with a key.
Are you part of a strata? Asking for a friend.
Where is it? What's the weather exposure like?
Have a McGrath. Great lock, easy installation by locksmith, no complaints.
I will be soon choosing between Aqara A100 or Yale Unity Entrance lock.
A100 has more advanced features
What hardware do you have already? Rim lock, deadbolt, lever entrance set or something else. What's the backset measurement?
Avoid "BOLD" just had my 2nd replacement mechanically fail not even 10 months old, and with no failsafe like the key etc, we were locked out.
Fingerprint is probably a good option because you can’t forget it or leave home without it. However, I would also look at other options that allow you to give people remote access or time based access. Also we went for an option with a physical key override. We were worried that if the lock had a catastrophic failure we may nit be able to get in.
Are there any which don’t have manual key override and no Bluetooth, nfc or wifi? I’m thinking keypad only. I just don’t trust all these wifi/bluetooth/nfc to be secure, and manual key override on these always seems to use rubbish quality locks
Deadbolt replacement? I know someone with a Wyze; great lock but not sold here so you'll need to import via Amazon
