Pretty good deals on these Qidi Tech printers. Think this may be the cheapest I have seen them.
I have been looking at getting back into 3D printing and wanted to get an enclosed printer so I could print ABS and try some other exotic filaments. Also wanted something that I didn't have to "tinker" with like my original Ender 3, time is limited and would prefer to spend more time printing than tinkering, lol
These printers seemed to fit the bill as they also have heated chambers, almost pulled the trigger on the X-Max 3 @ $799.20 which is an awesome price but don't think i would need something that large…yet!!

I settled on the Q1 Pro for now….

  • Great price on the q1 pro

    No xplus 4 listing?

    • +1

I'm guessing the 4's have been removed from sale due to the chamber heater dramas.

      • Non-issue for 240V countries though, so doesn't really make sense.
But it's under 'pre-order' on the website, so might just be waiting on stock in the AU warehouse

Just FYI. You can probably get cheaper with an offer. I have reports of $899 being accepted for the x-max 3 and $569 for the Q1 pro.
20% off those prices is incredibly good.

  • Completely random and offtopic but does anyone know if there are shops in Melbourne you can send a thingverse design to for printing? I tried to google but only turned up printer maintenance / retail stores

I came for the Bambu Lab comments.

I really want to go with the Q1P however don't want to not go with a Bambu printer haha. The Q1P does look a bit ugly in comparison to the A1 but looks a lot better on paper

      • +2

That question is easily answered by whether you want the ability to print multicolour more than the ability to print engineering filaments that need a chamber heater.

        • Won't need multicolour however I'm more torn between the design and branding/after sales/ease of use and resale etc

          • +2

@Demarcus cousins: Design and branding. Well, that's subjective. I think the Q1P looks better than the A1 personally, but not as good as the P1S/x1c.
Q1P by all accounts is very easy to use and basically as plug and play as the bambu. Doesn't have the integrated 'download and print from app' function that bambu does though.
Qidi after sales support is also second to none from my experience with my x-plus 3 over the past year. I've heard mixed things about bambu support.

Can’t believe people would throw 799 on this when Bambu p1s is basically the same price.

      They be trippin’ hard!

Larger build area + heated chamber + open firmware are a big selling point for some people.

      • +3

X-Max3 is considerably better than the P1S in quite a few areas. Obviously the print volume is significantly larger (34,300cc vs 16,777cc) but it also can print CF and other engineering materials without needing any further hardware and has a heated chamber.

The stupidity of people downvoting this comment is OzBargain-level idiocy.

  • That's a very good price for the X-Max 3. Very capable printer though the one annoying thing is the filament being positioned at the rear especially with it being such a large printer. Mine hasn't skipped a beat, though I tend to use my Bambu as my go to.

    • So you must know that Bambu also has the filament at the rear, right? I'm guessing you never print filaments like TPU that can't go in the AMS.

      • I rarely print TPU correct. The ability to use an AMS with a 3d printer to change filaments is a game changer.

  • got the x max 3 carted at 699 after the 20% im not 100% sold seems like a bit of a shit show at qidi atm with the failed plus 4 release.

  • I've loved my X-Plus3 and it remains an incredibly capable printer for the price, but be aware that Qidi have dropped any further updates on the firmware for these and left them stuck with some pretty old versions of the core packages (Klipper and Moonraker in particular). You can DIY new versions on, but something to keep in mind.
