  not sure if that's the best deal but it was quick and easy

  Never happy with their increases tho I went with Origin for now in my new house too
  Haven't really had time to shop around for a better deal just yet

  I live in VIC and use Red energy. So far I'm fairly happy with their rates and service. Use website comparison such as http://yourchoice.vic.gov.au/ for VIC or iselect or http://www.myenergyoffers.nsw.gov.au/ for NSW. It would be easier if you have previous statements with the usage to compare the rates.

  Be very careful when calling Energy brokers, they quoted me the wrong rates when trying to convince me to switch to their recommended provider. Make sure you have the chance to review the rates yourself, compare the connection cost and the early termination cost at your own time and not get pressured to sign up straight away (just keep saying NO - I don't want to sign up now).
