Hi, my current router TP Link Archer GX90 (AX 6600) ceased to work after recent storm
I bought this router for the stated gaming Wi-Fi speeds, reduced latency, Wi-Fi range, parental controls, tri band (one dedicated to gaming device), malicious sites and virus detection (payable subscription not required).
I have read some potential security issues with TP Link. What is a good router to buy for solid gaming and decent range.
There isn't really such a thing as a gaming router - it's mainly marketing and a reskin of the UI
You could look at a ax86u pro or other ax86 variant and you'd likely be fine.
Beyond that, you could consider a more prosumer setup with Ubiquiti.
