what's the benefit of physical if you don't mind me asking?
When the online store shuts down, you can still play it.
and if you don't want the game anymore, you can sell it.You're better off going the eBay or FB marketplace route if you're going to get rid of it, especially for Switch games. EB's trade in values are atrocious at the best of times.
It's nice to have a tangible copy. Something to stick on a shelf. I think there's some of us left who think like that.
Also nice not to be at the mercy of these companies keeping their stores open in future.
I bought a game from Amazon happy that I can have a physical card for once, and bastards just had a code in there

It's a nice game. I've played it on xbox game pass. It feels like an old school JRPG on console. Though I probably wouldn't spend higher than $25 on it. I know nintendo games cost more than other platforms, so it may be reasonably priced.
Great game. Great music. Little bit repetitive but what (J)RPG isn't. A little short for my liking. In my top50 games all time.
Also checkout Eastward, Octopath Traveller 1/2 for that tasty RPG goodness!

Great music and decent game, not as good as The Messenger.
Any good? I hear it’s inspired by THE EPIC Chrono Trigger in tone and gameplay.

It feels similar in some ways, but Chrono Trigger is a much better game. This game is fun, but it doesn't have the depth of the Chrono Trigger in story or characters.
