Which OnePlus Devices Still Work in Australia?

Hi all, looking to buy a new Oneplus phone as my previous one was bricked in the recent 3G shutdown.

At the moment I am looking at Nord series but open to other Oneplus devices as well, also most likely looking at buying from grey imports. If you have one and is still working here, can you please mention the device name that still works.

Thanks

I use OnePlus Nord CE3 Lite 5G, no problem. Before you buy a phone, maybe check the imei from the box and put it in AMTA website whether it's okay or not.

I bought it through Kogan from a seller in Melbourne.

    • Thanks, how did you check the IMEI before purchasing, I was planning to buy it online

Maybe check from YouTube videos if available. Ask the seller before purchasing.

  • Which OnePlus phone of your was bricked? Or was it a different make/model?

I am using OnePlus Nord 2 (5G) without any issues on Optus.

    So you haven't learned anything.

  • My daughter is using my old OnePlus 6T from 2019, with VoLTE/VoWiFi enabled. Still haven't been blocked by Everyday Mobile (finger crossed).

    • Thanks Scotty, Tried using that approach, unfortunately for OP7, it requires reverting back to OOS11. I also tried Shikuzu method. It showed all steps were successful however Amaysim still blocked it.

Oneplus 12R working on Optus last week and now working on More Telecom(wholesale telstra).

    • Hey Noppy, where did you purchase your 12R and do you know which variant it was? (Global?) Cheers.

I got it off AliExpress, from the OnePlus Official Store. I just had a look, and they don't currently have it listed. They have phones listed as global version, which I purchased.

  • I've been eyeing off a Nord 4 or a 12R, however I'm starting to get uncertain around whether it's worth risking the purchase. Seems like it's unclear whether a phone will continue to work in the future depending on the whims of the telcos. I'd like to stick with AussieBB for my mobile plan. Anybody have one of these and know if it's currently working?

From what I've seen the Nord 4 will only work with Telstra, if at all.

I can see Noppy's comment above about the 12R, cheers for that.

Maybe check imei from Youtube if any, then check it in AMTA website. Also send a message to the seller to check imei from the box and put it in AMTA website whether it's okay and go ahead.
