This just came up as a banner ad on my Amazon app.

Enjoy a $0 delivery fee on eligible DoorDash orders and other DashPass benefits with a FREE 2 year DashPass membership for new and current Prime members in Australia.

Subscribed and linked to my DoorDash with out issues.

Edit: For those getting stuck in a “loop” make sure you have a valid card added to your DoorDash account and remove Afterpay if attached.

For people who used the Amazon CA free DoorDash promo previously it seems to be only adding 9 months. Create a new DoorDash account for the full 2 years.

How long does the FREE DashPass membership last? As long as your Prime membership is active and you have redeemed the Offer, you can get 2 years of FREE DashPass. If your Prime membership ends or is cancelled during the 2 year DashPass membership period, your DashPass membership will cancel automatically and you will lose your FREE access to DashPass. Should you reactivate your Prime membership within 2 years of first activating your FREE DashPass Offer, you will be able to enjoy the remainder of your FREE DashPass membership period, provided that you remain a Prime member. You can re-activate the Offer via the Offer page here at Amazon.com.au.

    • Same.
I dont know how to unlink that amazon account. Neither does it say WHAT the amazon account is.

  • +2

I'm on a free trial of Amazon and my doordash DashPass expires 11/14/26.

    • Same here but I believe when the Prime membership ends so does the Dashpass.

  • I suspect they just make up the difference with higher charges elsewhere (like the food cost). It'd be interestign if you could compare the same places done through this and Uber.

    • I just looked at the prices for Maccas in DoorDash versus Uber Eats, all the items I saw are priced identically across both, so that's good.

  • The price is right!@

  • I have issue "Your DoorDash account is already linked to a different Amazon account." :(

    • new doordash account

      • Cheers mate. It worked after I created a new account :D

    • yea same.

  • +2

DoorDash playing the long game and betting on people forgetting to cancel in 2 years and copping that one month fee :-)

    • Added payment method expires before then so I can forget about it

      • DoorDash playing checkers whilst you're playing chess.

  • +1

Sorry, there's an error loading this page on our end. To learn more about Prime, explore other benefits.

    • Yes i keep getting that too. Tried on mobile and desktop. Same error.

      • I think it still applies it to your account. Though mine says until August next year for some reason

      • I got this error but it actually worked, check your DD account

        • Happen to me well, just refresh/reboot doordash.

    • I had that initially but a bit later it worked (desktop). Keep trying?

  • I have a different issue where I get "This offer is only eligible for Amazon Prime members. Subscribe to Amazon Prime to redeem this offer."

    I have Prime…

      • I can read. Everything is current.

    • +1

I had the same issue, it was because I had a US and Aus Amazon account using the same email address. Once I changed the email address of one of the accounts, I was able to apply via the Amazon app.

      • +1

This solved my issue, thank you!!

    • Same issue here….

  • Got the deal, but strange alliance since Amazon owns 2% of Just Eat, who owns Menulog in Australia :) Mr Bezos buttering both sides of his toast

    • +1

Amazon might end up buying 100% of DoorDash Australia.

      • Or kill it from the inside using Ozbargainers :)

  • bruh it says offer already redeemed when i havent even used it once

  • +1

I don't use a delivery service but I'm assuming if you use DD the prices cost more online than in store so you'll be paying more for the items but here you save delivery fee. Still have to pay other fees like a service fee? They would have to get their money from somewhere. Is this correct? Sorry if obvious stupid question 🙃

    • +1

Stores almost always raise the online prices per item to account for this.

  • +2
  • wow thanks, worked for me and got the 2 years! set a reminder to cancel in 2 years.

  • -4

Used my trial Amazon prime already. Is there another way to sign up prime without paying?

  • Signed up and was OK - then cancelled it to make sure wasn't charged in the future and now "lost" Dash Pass altogether.
On Live Chat now to see what happened.

    • +5

      because you cancelled it

    • +6

It literally says when cancelling that you will lose the free trial…
What happened? You forgot to read.

    • -3

Spoke to Chat - don't cancel it as you loose benefits straight away - unlike others systems.
And they can't add it back in…
      So annoying!

      • Was looking for this before I asked.
So everyone setting 2 yr reminders?????

      • :D

      • -3

Fair enough it was in T&C's but still annoying.

    • That could be the swiftest revocation in OzB history.

    • +1

"just incentivises compulsive spending" you just described Ozbargain itself lol

  • +5

DoorDash prob wont last 2 years, this seems desperate

    • That's a baseless assumption, they're doing good business. Constant impressive growth, profits up 25% compared to this time last year

      Source: https://ir.doordash.com/news/news-details/2024/DoorDash-Rele…

      • Doesn't amazon pay for this promotion and not doordash?

        • Who knows how they're cutting it, might have delivery partner agreements, stock agreements IDK.
@botchie was commenting about DD which I replied to.

          • @JakeyJooJoo: i just dont think there is $$ in food delivery business here - look at Deliveroo, went bust overnight
Uber will hang around as they dominate the space, even menulog but ultimately the issue will be that food delivery will be too expansive - it already is

            • +1

@botchie: @botchie Fair enough as a general sentiment. That article I linked is about global profit, doesn't break it down by region. Entirely reasonable to think our high minimum wage will be Australia unprofitable for food delivery besides wealthy people using it at a mark up.

After signing up for doordash from this post, I ordered food delivered for the first time in ages… had butter chicken curry, 2 garlic&cheese naans, and 4 mandarines from coles, delivered for $20.40 ($10 off first order). Kinda hard to see how they're doing well when I've got them driving around my rural city collecting that crap and then to my house for so little money.

              • @JakeyJooJoo: haha, thats a great deal - last time i used DD was to get a $5 burrito, again, it cost them more to make it
guess we will see …I prefer to support my local guy anyway and just buy direct - but if there are any promos where I can get a deal, I'll use it

  • Thanks OP, got the full 2 year

  • Seems to have glitched out on mine. First time there was some timeout and it didn't apply, and second time it just throws errors. Oh well

    • It does seem a bit glitchy. I had to try quite a few times but it went through in the end.

  • Currently on prime free trial and it works. Valid until Nov 2026!

    • +3

Me too but seems when you cancel prime you lose it

    • yea right but what happens when your trail finishes?

      • +2

Why do you care about someone else's hike?

        • I know him. He will slump into the impending doom state if the trail finishes. Gotta keep him going.

  • Thanks op, worked for me

  • +1

Sorry, there's an error loading this page on our end. To learn more about Prime, explore other benefits.

    • I got the same and clicked explore other benefits and the 2 year dash pass offer was there.

      • Just used another doordash account and it worked

  • +2

doesn't work for me for some reason? it says the offer has been redeemed and ask me to log back into Doordash, but when I check my DD account, it's not applied.

    • +1

Check your payment method. Key in your CC details instead of Afterpay or Apple Pay. My email matched both so not sure if a different will work too.

      • this didnt work for me still :(

    • having this issue too

  • +5

    From terms and conditions

If you cease to be a Prime member during the 2 year DashPass membership period, the Offer will cease to apply and your DashPass membership will also automatically end. If you reactivate your Prime membership within the initial 2-year DashPass membership period which was in place before your Prime membership ended, you can receive the remaining months of your 2 year DashPass membership provided the Offer has not been withdrawn before that date and you redeem the Offer again.

    • +4

This is exactly how I thought it would work, despite what date your doordash service says is valid to. I think I did this with another delivery service and it expired as soon as my prime membership did too. If this is the case the deal doesnt deserve the massive upvotes its getting.

      • True that. Only a great deal if dash pass doesn't get cancelled if we end prime prime membership.

  • Thank you kind stranger

  • "Your DashPass is free until 14/11/2026"

    Thanks OP…🙏🏽👍

  • Thanks OP!

  • Doordash is getting Ozbargained!

  • -2

Need prime to have it for the whole 2 years. Not an amazing deal.

  • +1

    Accounts linked

Your DoorDash account is already linked to a different Amazon account.

    • Same as me, same error.

  • +2

The Amazon Prime offer replaces the current subscription.

I had 6 more months of DoorDash subscription. However, I just tried, and it replaced my six months with a two-year Amazon offer.

I also received a refund from DoorDash for the unused subscription, which was replaced by an Amazon offer.

    • Mine has replaced my existing subscription, but I see no evidence of a refund for my remaining subscription - where did you get the info about that? Did it say it would refund a certain amount as part of the process of applying this offer? Mine didn't.

      • It doesn't, but when I checked the statement for my credit card (the original payment method), I found a refund from DoorDash.

  • +2

Has it worked for anyone who previusly reeded the canada doordash offer?

  • -3

    wow, deal of the year?

  • "Not eligible for offer. This offer is only for Amazon Prime members. Subscribe to Amazon Prime to redeem this offer"

Anyone know what triggers this when trying to add from an active Prime account?

EDIT: Fixed by just creating a new DD account.

  • -1

I haven’t used food delivery apps in years. Is DoorDash any better than Uber Eats or are they all the same? I gave up after getting sick of paying a 30% premium to wait an hour for luke warm soggy food to turn up. Or sometimes not turn up.

    • Uber seems worse as its fees are higher and drivers make so little they wait to bundle 3+ orders from different places to make a "normal" wage.

    • Cheaper and quicker than Uber Eats, even without DashPass.

  • Worked for me, expires 14/11/26, thanks OP!

  • Wow Best Deal so far! Worked for me. Dashpass free until 14/11/2026

  • +1

DoorDash is already the best food delivery platform and Amazon Prime is a no-brainer for the value. Win Win!

  • goooooood stufffff

  • Thanks OP, got it.

  • Thanks OP
It even refunded me for the current paid dash pass

  • +3

PSA If you have already used the Canada Dashpass offer on your existing DoorDash account, create a new DoorDash account to redeem your offer. Otherwise, you will only get 8 months instead of the full two years.

    • I'd had the Canada deal but was also getting other eligibility issues due to having had multiple Prime accounts previously, and DD was connected to the wrong Amazon account.

Creating a clean new DD account solves everything and guarantees you the full 2 years.

    • +1

This didnt work for me, still only gave me till 2025 on the new account…

      • Same, created a new account and still only got until 2025

      • Same for me as well. Have tried with another account and still got 2025.

  • The page is broken?

  • Thanks OP! Some reason mine expires 13/11/26, lost a day somewhere…
