Best Place for a Tempur Mattress Deal during Black Friday?

Hey OzBargainers, I’m in the market for a Tempur mattress and wondering if anyone has tips on where to find the best deals during Black Friday.

I've heard they rarely go on sale, but I’m hoping to score a good discount this year. Are there any retailers known for Black Friday specials on Tempur, or even clearance/overstock sales that might apply?

Would love any recommendations for online or in-store deals – or if anyone has experience buying a Tempur mattress during this sale period. Appreciate the help!

        They need to turn over the display stock when new models get released; or for other visual merchandising reasons

            @RickyPoontang: Feb 2019; I'd suggest asking the sales team at HN or Domayne when they might be clearing display stock. The covers can be laundered so I have no issue with ex-display or even pre-owned

    Not sure about Black Friday but David Jones often has deals and I was able to get harvey Norman to price beat with free delivery.

        No comes already unrolled, as in its final state. They are quite flexible so can bend around corners and be squished. From memory it came in a box, but I could have this wrong. If needing to bend it to get it up stairs I’d recommend using a mattress bag so it doesn’t get damaged. They are also heavy so I recommend using a professional or at least strong and competent people to move it. Just ask in the store how it will be when delivered, ie box or bag.

      For the Tempur sleepers in my household, purely subjective preference… and 10–15 year lifespan is the bargain/value attribute

      Had a lie down at Domayne and my god it was soooooo nice. Also used to hook up with this gurl who had a hand me down tempur like 4 years ago and honestly some of the best sleep I ever had!
