Not much more to say! Just a great price for cashews that I have found to be good quality.
I don't know if this price is available in other Woolworths stores.

It just says "imported and local ingredients".
Um… there is only 1 commercial farm growing cashews in Oz! Cashew production is labour intensive. So those will be expensive nuts, and won't be found in a discount bag!
In 2010 Australia imported 15,000 tons primarily from Vietnam & India.
(We are the highest per capita consumer of cashews in the world).
So asking if the cashews are grown in Australia, well….
Not much of a bargain.
Just head towards the Dandenong market and get it for $14/kg. you can get 250g for $3.50 if memory serves well and it taste much better. More creamy and crisp in my opinion.
Edit: This probably only applies to OP and anyone else living close by since he is close there :P
Agree not much of a bargain you can get salted or unsalted Cashew Nuts from Basils Deli Mindarie WA for $9.99 kilo
Good comments - thanks for the input! I will definitely have a look at the prices at Dandy market.
Are they Australian nuts or sourced from overseas?
