This wine reveals a deep crimson colour with aromas of blackcurrant, raspberry, and mulberry. The palate bursts with plum, blackberry, and touches of pepper and cinnamon. Integrated oak, layered silky tannins, and a lingering finish complete this balanced, full-bodied wine.
From Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon on terra rossa soil, with low-yielding, single cordon vines, and McLaren Vale Shiraz from Blewitt Springs' sandy soils, each variety is fermented separately—Cabernet for 10 days and Shiraz for 15 days on skins. After aging 12 months in oak, blending, and a final six months in oak, this wine captures the essence of both regions.
