  • Are the batteries compatible with other brands?
Given the price point it seems similar to Ozito, which would be easier to return if issues occur

Hi Velau, no the batteries are only compatible with Katana Power Tool skins.

If you are going cheap and no name then try GT at autobarn. They use aldi batteries. They are a bit hit and miss but autobarn are great to deal with. They changed their color a few years ago and were clearing out most tools for $20. My five cordless grinders are still going..cordless heat gun was the only tool that died out of 10 or so tools I bought.

  • Are the impact drivers brushless, the website does not say anything

    • Hi hawamahal, the impact driver is not brushless however for your entry level/DIY user the tool performs perfectly and sits at a bargain price at 40% off!

      • Can you clarify which battery the impact wrench combo kit 220510 comes with? The contents lists a 2ah battery and the photo shows a 4ah battery. Not sure it would work very well with only a 2ah battery.

Hi racer1234, thank you for pointing this out to us, we will get this fixed! The 220510 combo kit comes with a 4Ah Battery.

Any independant testing on any of the tools? Hard to believe that your impact wrench is $89 and can do 400nm of torque…

  • Can you angle grinder cut paver stones?

    • Battery operated? Not a chance.

      • My Bosch (18v) with diamond blade does.

  • I bought a lot of tools at the last sale with bonus batteries. I previously only used Ryobi and have never tried more premium brands such as Milwaukee/Dewalt/Makita. These Katanas excellent value for the price. They were a godsend for my DIY retic job and performed really well. I have tried the impact wrench, drill driver, impact driver, chainsaw, angle grinder, reciprocating saw, leaf blower, and sanders. I also have a circular saw and jigsaw which I haven't had a chance to try yet. I am just hoping that the warranty process will be easy if I ever need it.

  • I have bought a heap of Katana power tools the past couple of years, very happy with the quality, bought the mower last year and cheaper blower and couldn't be happier! No issues so far, touch wood!

  • At $120 for their line trimmer and blower kit with batts and charger seems like a very good deal. Any feedback on those?
