      I've used them about 5 times.

      They're more expensive than the airtasker or Facebook contacts. Last 2 channel install in a hatch was about 250 or 260.

      You need an microSD card. It doesn't have to be theirs. Some high endurance or dashcam suitable are best.

    Learnt something new, was wondering why there are 3 wires into the hardware kit when 1 positive and 1 negative (ground) can power the camera.

    Turns out it needs 2 positives, one to switched 12V (accessory), the other to constant 12V (always on). This is how it knows when to switch between driving and parking modes.

    If you intend to use a wire tap adapter in the fuse box, check if there's enough clearance behind the cover.

      You know if the rear channel can be used to reverse park the car, how does it know when the car is in reverse gear and to switch the view on the screen? I bought single channel but thinking of dual channel now.

        Not too sure about reverse parking function, but the screen is so small, wouldn't be very useful?

        Possibly achieved by software, some cameras can beep when traffic starts to move, so similar algorithm can detect when car is in reverse based on video image.

        The A229 Plus and separately added the filter, 64Gb SD card and bluetooth remote. They were all cheaper separate.

      If the USB port still provides power while the car is off you won't need a hardwire kit as it'll continue to record.

      If power stays on while parked the car battery will drain and car won't start.
