I don't think it's necessary to get a premium dock. The main things you need are the charging and the hdmi out - and all docks more-or-less have the exact same specs there. The main differences you get are in the other ports, but they're mostly useless because the most efficient way (in my opinion) to transfer files to the deck is via sshfs, so I can't see why you'd ever need those fast speeds to the deck.
Although, it might be a different story if you intend to constantly have the dock decked and you want extra storage, but why get a steam deck if it doesn't plan to be used portably.
