be careful of fakes.. got a dodgy one on amazon a few weeks back.. barely pushed 10MB/s… though had massive positive feedback.. go figure.

Direct from Amazon AU or third party seller?

      • third party

        • that's why

      Fake capacity

    • jesus 2tb for $59! thats cheap i wonder how it performs.. i dont need massive speeds though at least 50MB/s would be nice.

      • Even though it's probably not real, this isn't for you then…Writing Speed: 20-30MB/S.

At least it has an extended connector to get past your sick phone case!

Oh yeah, 2TB for $59, this won't fail anytime soon.

Even in China Xiaomi never manufactured that flash drive.

    • There are masses of fake NVME and USB flash drives on AliExpress these days, which report anywhere between inflated and ludicrous storage capacity for the price. This is a marketplace seller of random imported stuff; the odds are high that at best it's an imitation brand using bargain flash that barely passes testing, and at worst it can't actually store 2TB. Would not trust.

  • These are slow as molasses FYI

This is going to take ages to fill up, if you need to transfer large amount of data get an SSD, there are SSD flash drives around the same price, bigger in size but close to 1GB/s transfer speed.

Except being slightly larger in form factor wouldnt a ssd+enclosure be miles better than this.

  • One end is USB C and the other USB A. I have 128 and 256gb versions of these and love them. As ozlurker said, once you get to this size have a look at SSD they will be faster for similar money.

  • Got one from my local OW for 119 bucks. Cool.

    Thanks OP.

    • Very slow… will be returning it back tomorrow.
