Great for stacking with telstra plus tickets to bring cost down further. That said just saw today that Telstra plus tickets now have an online booking fee ($1.70) per ticket on them which they never had before which sucks a bit.

Thanks I've been waiting for this!

  • Be wary of the expiry date. They said 31/12/2025 in the email but legislation says the expiry needs a minimum of three years.

    • Noticed the same thing as well, very sus

Gift cards issued as part of a temporary marketing promotion are excluded from that requirement.

      • Could argue it’s a discount on an existing product not a temporary promotional product.

    • That’s pretty shit, the ones from same promo last year had until dec 26

    • Noticed that. I think they need to be pulled up on this. It's not clear that it is part of the exemption list. This is basically free money for companies after costs as how many people just forget to use it or lose their details?

I sent a message to their customer service channel. I'll let you know when I get an update.

        • Thanks, I look forward to hearing what you find out.

          • @treeman: To clarify how vouchers and gift cards work, they are pre-paid products and they are all issued with an expiry date. Full priced gift cards and full priced vouchers sold after 1 November 2019 nationally must be redeemable for at least three years after the day they were supplied or purchased.

However the product that you are interested in is being sold at a genuine discount through a sale that is part of a customer loyalty program. As such, the vouchers are sold under stricter terms and conditions, including a restricted validity period. They are not valid for three years and do not qualify for this extended validity under the terms of sale. This is all in line with the information you can find on the ACCC website. We hope to see you at the movies soon.

@wakie: Have to agree with their interpretation of the law here.
