Hi,
Last year, I managed to get Credit applied to my catch.com.au account after I saw the price of the item that I purchased decrease. I went to use this over the weekend and found that it had been removed. I contacted Customer Support and was told that Credit only lasts for a year, and that I had not used this before it expired. I understand that each retailer can set their own rules, policies and procedures and that is this is stated on their website, that I may not be able to make a claim, but I'm wondering if any else has run into this issue and has had any successful recourse in having this overturned. How did you go about this?
TIA

The only thing I can think of is this for Gift Cards.
https://consumer.gov.au/new-gift-card-laws that protect the balance for 3 years.
Had you used a Gift Card and they Credited the difference back, you would be left with the balance of the 3 years from the date of purchase of the Gift Card.
What you speak of is similar to what SCA (SuperCheapAuto) do for Club Members do if you buy and the price drops. The gap is credited to your SCA and even then it is 28 days. It is a goodwill thing.
One year is pretty generous.
