Finding Bulk-Billing Medical Practices (Any Suggestions?)

Being a true OzB'er, I would like to know is there any website or anywhere I could check for bulk-billing GPs around a particular suburb.

I know Hotdoc/Health Engine will list bulk-billing GPs, but most of the time, it's mixed billing, that they still charge adults.

There's usually only half a dozen practices max in a suburb. Why not just call them up directly?

  Eh, not always. I had a non-bulk billing doctor tell me I had tennis elbow. It was actually an infection inside the joint that gave me blood poisoning 🤷‍♂️. Not sure how you get that wrong, but that's doctors for you.

Ask on community Facebook pages or Reddit groups for the particular area you’re looking for one in.

use a search engine

check if your local Primary Health Network (PHN) has this information or any programs they are running with subsidies.

use google maps to Search GP then click on individual practices websites to check their billing structure

find out if your area has gov run Minor Injury and Illness clinic

consider using 13 Sick , Home call doctors etc if it’s after hours or the weekend. Most these services do bulk billed telehealth consults for non chronic issues out of hours.
