I'm looking for recommendations for open-ear style earbuds that don't go in your ear canal (this, not this). I'd also be happy to try the ones that hook over your ear. I just don't want anything in my ear canal, and I like to hear a bit of the world around me.
I would prefer ones without finger touch controls, or at least the ability to turn them off. Physical button controls are fine. The finger touch controls are so finicky and give false positives very often.
ANC is not necessary.
Less than $100 would also be great, but I'd stretch a bit if they were good.
Thanks in advance!
Those wireless with touch controls and no ability to turn them off are annoying as f. I hate carrying the cases and one bud in the pocket means that there's constant "accidental" touches on my sweaty thighs when I move around. And then having both buds in the pocket (and not being able to turn it off) means that all the notifications only go through the earphones in my pocket.
I've resorted to one with a cable that joins both earbuds and one that has an on/off button switch.
