  • Cannot see the price for those selected beers from website

  • Considering the BWS specials are more expensive than Dan Murphys everyday prices… is it really worth it?

    • it is worth if can do basic maths (as an example)

      50 litres at 1.50 = $75

      50 litres at 1.30 = $65

      $10?

      up to you

good if you're buying some anyway for xmas and obviously better if you have a large petrol tank

  • same deal as at woolworths liquor
    http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/87325

    • Never noticed that deal, as was not in the title, but would guess so. They also list different cases. Mods can delete this if they want.

The 20c a litre works out for me to be $12 savings (60L).

Immediately I know that I can always get a 4c so this is really 16c on top of that so $9.60 savings.

The cost of the beer is - [Dan Murpheys Price]

    Extra Dry - $40 (24)[$39.95]
    Sol - $40 (24)[$39.95]
    5 Seeds - $42 (24)[$39.95]
    James Boag's Draught - $44 (30 cans)[$43.95]
    Hahn Premium Light - $30 (24)[$29.85]
    James Boag's Premium - $45 (24)[$42.95]
    Heineken - $45 (24)[$39.65]
    VB - $78 (24x2)[$36.90 Each]
    Jim Beam - $72 (24)[$71.95]
    Canadian Club - $72 (24)[$74.95]
    Johnnie Walker Red - $65 (24)[$62.90]
    Bundaberg - $65 (24)[$62.90]

So it really depends on if these prices justify those kinds of savings. For the most part they have matched Dan Murpheys price with their sale price or in Canadian Clubs case beaten it slightly.

    • Of course Dan Murphy BWS and Woolworths are all Woolworths businesses. It may pay to compare more widely - but if you 'need' beer etc, it doesn't hurt to get an extra discount for this. Especially if, like me, you have a vehicle that will take 150 litres per fill (older Landcruiser Prado that costs waaaay too much to operate around town).

      • I personally think this is a great deal. In my opinion the price comparison shows that it is a good deal since Dan Murpheys is generally the best price going and that's why I chose to compare against them.

When doing a price comparison though I don't think it's fair to weigh in personal opinions. That's why all I put there were the prices so anyone looking can make their own decision.

        • Respectfully disagree. Yes, Dan Murphy often has the most competitive price - but I'm always careful to check other options when the comparison outlet is owned by the same entity.

That said, I expect that I'll be refueling with both liquor and petrol using this offer.

  • I don't trust the Everyday Rewards card anymore…

for the second time this year, it has not used the highest voucher, even though it had not expired.

i even showed it to the attendant via the Woolies app… They said to call Woolies and complain… I did the first time and they didn't fix it, can't be bothered calling them again…

I'll stick with Coles vouchers from now on…

You can always not scan the EDR card and get a docket, if you don't care about reward points.

    • Same thing as me, seems they screw you when it comes to the 15c and 20c deals. I just dont swipe my card and take the docket. Done and done
