Recommend Bagless Vacuum Cleaners for Home and Workshop

Hi all

I'm looking to replace my home and workshop vacuum cleaners. Inside we have a Dyson DC32, which fits the bill but it's getting on a bit and I wonder if there's something better out there in terms of suction. The house has mostly hardwood floors, but also some shag pile rugs. I'd prefer bagless.

In the workshop I have an Ozito wet/dry, which is OK but it uses disposable bags and I'm over that. I guess I don't mind if the bag is reusable for this one. Mostly sawdust, but it'd also be used for the car.

So, I'm looking for two separate vacuum cleaners. What corded bagless vacuum cleaners can you recommend? Thanks!

  • have you disassembled and thoroughly cleaned the cyclone assembly.?

    • I have, and I've washed the filter too. But let me be clear: I'm broadly still happy with the DC32, it's just that I'm wondering if there is something better out there. I've read good things about the Miele Complete C3 Turbo PowerLine (2000 watts!), but it uses a disposable bag.

  • +2

Electrolux C9, I just bought one on the weekend to replace a 9 year version of basically the same.

It sucks so hard if you are single, you will stay single. You could buy 4 electrolux C9s for the price of 1 dyson. Cost $299 at bing lee

Never bought into the dyson hype, reckon they produce at best an average vacuum and cordless vacuums are trash

  • I have a Stihl se62 for the workshop which I cannot fault. It can be run bagless but if you're using it for sawdust I wouldn't without a seperate cyclone, and even then would probably still use a bag.

  • disassemble and clean and wash

    • Thanks - yes I have taken it apart for cleaning. I'm just wondering if there's something more powerful out there.
