Spacious Gaming Desk Recommendations Budget: Max $200

Hi, I’m looking for a spacious gaming desk. Right now, I’m considering the UTESPELARE gaming desk from IKEA. My requirements are that it fits a 27-inch monitor, keyboard, mouse, and an office phone. My budget is preferably around $200 or less, but I might be able to stretch it a bit. I was thinking about checking Facebook Marketplace, but we only have sedans, so transporting a large desk might be difficult.

Serious question, what makes a desk a gaming desk? The height adjustment or is it just branding?

I have one of these I bought off Amazon, it has room for my work setup with a 34" display, a personal PC setup with a separate display and all the associated docks, doodads and whatever.

I probably should be more worried about that 50kg weight limit, but it's never had an issue.

      LED lighting?

"Gaming" desk is a new low for the marketers. Next we'll have gaming toothbrushes.

  • I use two small Ikea desks, in an L shape. I have monitor stands clamped to the backs of the desk, four external plus the MacBook display. PC is connected too so I can swap, but I only use Windows for iTunes and torrents these days. I need to use a foot rest because with my chair at the ideal height it pinches circulation in my legs, so I need the foot rest to make it work. It's fine though.

You don't need to look any further. It's a great sturdy desk, has height adjustment and great for cable management. Fits 2x 32" monitors perfectly fine, no need to drop to 27".

Suggest you flip the table top so the lip is facing you as you sit in the middle, rather than to the rear as per the manual.

Just hire a ute for a few hours from Bunnings. You can find very cheap desks on market place for a fraction of the price + good for the environment.
