Nice, good heads up!
Too bad its so slow. I've had cyclists overtake me on the light rail.
Your main options are walking, cycling, uber/taxi or your own vehicle.
Choose your weapon.
Those are some creative ways to deal with those cyclists!
In the city area, it's probably comparable to walking.
I have once went from central to convention centre. When I started walking at central, the next service is 7min away, and when I arrive convention centre, the dashboard shows the next service is still 7min away, and there is no light rail overtaking me during the whole time.
It's nice that you don't need to walk if taking light rail, but if you are fine with walking, it might be faster to just walk than waiting for light rail.
I'm excited about the upcoming Carlingford to Westmead light rail line, really streamlining the James Ruse -> Westmead Hospital career path.
Are they building a South Yarra to Clayton tram superhighway?
Yes
Graduate from James Ruse, to be tram driver to Westmead Hospital ?
for that 250k pay. Absolutely.
The way Sydney is going, $250K (before tax) is the new middle class
When is it opening?
Why would you say this? Westmead not a good hospital?
Thanks OP

You know why there's billboard mention "Hold tight on all time"… cause you got a sh!t driver.
aren't rail workers trying to get this 50cents per trip? I think this is a great concept. when would sydney cbd follow the free map zone tram like melbourne or adelaide? the cost per trip on the tram is deeply overprice within few stops useless you go further out of cbd area
The light rail fares are the same price as bus fares, so I don't think they're overpriced.
This must be super suss. The exact same time the Oz bargain meet up is on tonight, the light rail is also free?
The stars just be aligning
Good thing i stay away from Sydney
thanks for the heads-up - that works for me
this may be a make-up for the fact that it was closed on George St on Saturday as they were digging up the pavers outside the QVB.
The L1 Dulwich Hill line has been more than standing room only for a long time yet still run on low capacity vehicles and frequencies.
Damn… going to sydney on 15th…
