ATL as far as i know. I would recommend it simply as a screen mirroring device for phone and SteamDeck/ROG ally. These have 120hz 1080p micro oled.
Edges are most likely blurry as everything on market suffer from same issue.

you should , because its Amazon US. final price is 367 including priority shipping.
Dang, emigrating for some sunnies is extreme.
Even cheaper ($199 USD) delivered from their site: https://www.rayneo.com/products/rayneo-air-2-xr-glasses
I saw that but i trust Amazon for fast shipping and in case of any issues later, returns are so much less hassle, if you know what I mean.
Apparently the new Air 2S (and Viture/Xreal's same-same-but-different products) are a big step up, but still very narrow FOV ~46 deg. Great for a nice screen on the plane, but a far cry from any modern VR headset.
Set expectations accordingly.
So it's ok for watching
pornmultimedia on the plane then?the best
still very narrow FOV ~46 deg
That's hardly narrow.
THX certifies cinemas at 45 deg and recommends 36 deg for the optimal home theatre setup.
These aren't vr hmd's. Expectations should be for a mobile home theatre environment you can wear on your face (great companion for decks/allys etc).
I am considering purchasing the Air 2s. However, due to the conflicting reviews, I am hesitant to proceed.
Also, I have been unable to find any retailers that offer a demo. The Viture Pros were $505 on AmazonAU in the prime day sales. Black Friday's just around the corner.
What would it be like going for a walk with this sort of thing? Or running on the treadmill?
Is it like wearing sunnies but a portion of your view is taken up by screen - perhaps akin to having your phone in your face? Or more restrictive on vision than that?
you can't (comfortably). all the current designs sit really far off your face, they'll likely fall off with any movement.
Thanks! Looking forward to this tech advancing a bit more.
Any movement, or is hand movement likely to be ok?
Asking for a friend
Would the work for productivity - reading email, coding etc ?
From my personal experience with TCL Nxtwear S, I would not recommend these for any productivity work like coding, it would be very stressing on the eyes. but these are great for multimedia like watch movies /tv shows, especially movies since bottom edges would be blurry for 16x9 content.
would you want to code on a 1080p screen?
I would on 3
Ive only used the original Samsung GearVR which inserted the Samsung Note 4 into the Occulus headset. There was noticeable screen door effect but it was still highly enjoyable. How does this compare?
No sde mate, these glasses ( i mean you can buy any brand, none have sde) so crisp i wish these panels are used for mainstream VR headsets, only VR headset that uses this tech is Bigscreen beyond and that costs a fortune. Just look up some review on YT or reddit.
I am using AR glasses for casual coding and support when remote. But mine is Virture
Is it possible to have multiple virtual screens?
whoa, myopia adjustable as well?
Bought and arrived today - Tested with windows laptop and work fine as a display / for watching video, and somewhat ok as a worst case computer scenario, but downloaded the app and it's very buggy/not really realistic for use.. New Xiaomi 14t doesn't support usbc video - found an old Samsung Note 8 and re flashed with Android 9… Works well again for as a simple large screen via Samsung Dex but the apps don't work - only the RayNeo XR app installs but when started it takes connection but nothing is displayed and battery life will be less than 2 hours I'm guessing!..
My original plan for this was the smallest form factor I could imagine working from with the phone, glasses, and bluetooth keyboard/mouse for connecting in to do something urgently - with a compatible phone that might have worked I guess. I wonder if there is any cheap USBC power splitter to allow charging and usbc video while using the glasses to use with the note 8 in the meantime..
What's the screen size look like?
Perception is everything… I set it up at a desk with a wall behind and it was similar size to the 27" on my desk… but look at a wall 3m away and it's much bigger than the 65" TV… I usually wear glasses bit not a huge prescription - I can get away with wearing glasses behind these but only just - the centre of the screen is clear as but there is a lot of blur at the edges, and if I close one eye at a time I can't see the far edges of the screen at all… The sound quality is good, but only if I cup my ears - or maybe wear powered off headphones over the top - but then it's loud which probably isn't a bad thing! For movies on a flight they would be decent but as mentioned, battery life will be the issue with the phone I had - searching and there seems to be plenty of adapters for power provision under different brands - or maybe a powered usbc hub might work assuming it supports the video passthrough..
