After I shared the deal last month, two weeks later mine were delivered and I counted about 6 other people wearing new Way of Wade 10s in my social volleyball community (I'll take that as a success).

Some of my friends wanted me to let them know when they went on sale again, so here it is.

With coupons, they will end up around $200 including GST. (Thats about 30% cheaper than Intersports $269.00)

After using them for a few weeks, I would say that they are worth their money. It's not like you will get an extra 4 inches in your verticals, but they did redefine for me price vs performance. They fit a bit tight. I was wearing 7s in ASICS before, 7.5 fits well so you may need half size up

The posted link will take you to the Orange, Away (Lakers colour scheme), Flash, and Origin.

Cherry Blossom $214~ $190~ with AUCD25
City of Angels $199~

Coupon codes:
When you are browsing the item, look for the little red bar/tag that says AU $x.xx off over $xx. In there should be one that says AU $4~ over $92~ (for the main link) other styles (over $200 AUD) may have $10+ codes

…I counted about 6 people wearing new Way of Wade 10s in my social volleyball community…

    I'm surprised Wades are recognisable.

    • About 30% of the shoes people wear in our social volleyball open gyms are Wade's.

I never recognised them until I was interested in them myself. Once I knew they were LiNing wades, pretty much every shoe with the big ball logo recognised as wades… 808s, all city, Wow10s, Wow11s, etc

Any recommendations for a running shoe? How does sizing compare to Nike or Adidas?

    • On running shoes are my favorite

    • I was wearing ASICS netburners ff mt3 before, I find the sizing tighter, half size up is good for me. YMMV

  • What’s the coupon code to end up around $200 including GST?

I just updated the deal with a few coupon codes I tried. Look for the little red tag

    I'd like to an extra 4 inches…

  • how are the cushion and traction on these? I find that the most annoying thing about courts is that its super slippery, either because it's dusty or the court is just too smooth. I've bought so many pairs of shoes that have bad traction for anything that's not a near perfect court. The Asics Sky Elite FF2 are really good in this regard but the cushioning kinda sucks so I've been trying to find a pair of shoes that does both really well.

    • I haven't tried the sky elites but compared to my netburners they are better.

The traction on these are extremely good, I found the traction on the netburners are great, but these are better.

When I used netburners on old dusty courts it was good, these should be better. The courts I play on weekly now are not that dusty, but they're painted floors and not wooden polished.

  • Are these worth getting for my 12-soon-to-be-13yo? He's in year 7, been playing volleyball since the start of the year and been to a few comps with his team. The most notable one was they came second in the Vics school's cup earlier this year in the Year 7 boys group A. The second schools cup for the year is coming up at the end of this month and he's been banging on about this pair and how the carbon plate will help him. I got him the Nike GT Cut Academy a couple of months ago and he's been quite happy with it, just not sure if I should cave in and get him these. He's been working quite hard, developing his skills a lot, and adapting to his team mates quite well, but personally I feel it might be too early to get him these sorts of advanced shoes. Or maybe I should just embrace the Ozbargain mindset and just buy now, worry later…

I think these shoes are on the upper end near on par with other "high end" basketball shoes.

Hard to say at 13, I want to say yes but it sounds like he will grow out of them before they run out of grip. You could sell them later I suppose.

I thought the carbon plate would help a lot, but it's actually very hard to say how it's helping. For me, it hasn't been that noticeable but the traction and the responsiveness/"attack" is unlike any shoe I've worn.

I have flatter feet and tend to always land using my forefoot to slow down the impact. The carbon plate has definitely helped this, but I'm getting more ankle pain (hard to say if it's from the shoe or exertion though)
