80

For those of you with AliExpress coins, this is cheaper than the usual suppliers (Core & Little Bird), and includes the soldered-on pins and a transparent case.

To get the deal, go to the COINS section of the AliExpress APP (not browser), search for “raspberry pi zero 2W”, locate the item priced at “US$23.08 with 40% Off” or use the image linked on this page as a guide.

You must Buy Now to get the coins discount. If you add it to your cart you’ll only get a ~2% coin discount.

Sorry, I can't link directly to an item in COINS section.

  • Just getting 30%

    • Same here

    • Is the price after coin discount the same US$18.85, or higher?

Really good price! I use one of these for a pi-hole and exit node for Tailscale, does a great job

Thank you. I never could figure out how the discount with COINS worked because I always used the cart!

  • I'm a bit new to this Pi game.. i want to move my Home assist over to a Pi. Can anyone recommend a good deal that can run it. I read a Pi 5 or 4 is fine and Pi 3B or something..

    • I'm running home bridge and using a VM on my PC. Had it on rpi 4 before and it was running fine. Just using it as an arcade ATM.

      • Yea running it on a VM on my pc but the other day my pc did a stupid restart and it didn't log in leaving me booted out of home assist until I got home. So figured a dedicated unit could be nice. So far it seems a Pi is around $100 bit there is a Home Assist green unit for $150 which might just be easier to do and not to worry about anything lol

        • Yeah that's true. I had it on nuc for a while. Was good because didn't have to worry about computer much. And ability to run more vm's. Heard some use both HA and home bridge

          Buy a n100 nuc ~$200

        • Cheap Beelink

          • @Davo1111: Wouldn't a nuc or beelink have the same issue than having it on my pc, or do you just load it with linux and not MS

              @RenVilo: Oh hass. Sorry, misunderstood

I ran my hass in a raspberry pi non wifi, to avoid potential wifi issues.

              Gave up on hass though

  • I buy heaps on aliexpress but don't have any coins, do you have to click daily to earn them?

    • You need to use the app to get coins. There are games that you can play to get coins. There was one similar to Candy Crush iirc….

Easiest way to earn coins is daily check-in to COINS section. It starts at 20/day, and goes up to 70/day, and sometimes 100/day during a sale. Miss a day and it’s back to 20/day. COINS check-in on APP (all APP devices) and browser are independent of each other. Check-in on both for more coins. New day starts at 5pm AEST (based on midnight in USA).

Post purchase, check tracking and review all have a button to get a few extra coins. If you can be bothered, there’s games to get more coins. I find daily check-in the best way to accumulate coins.

The advertised coin discount, like 40% (or 30% or whatever) on this, does not reflect the actual discount, but big offerings are unusually better than small. To see the actual discount, you need to do a test purchase, ie select the item colour/flavour/size/etc, select qty, select Buy Now, check the net price, then cancel.

Choice products in COINS still have free shipping over US$10, otherwise US$1.99, however the $10 shipping threshold is based on the price before coin discount (yay). If the pre coin price is under $10, it’s still possible to get free shipping by buying multiple of the item, but coin discount varies based on item count. Do a test purchase to see if it’s worthwhile.
