2.4GHz Earbuds

I'm looking for some 2.4 GHz earbuds with built-in microphone, something like Edifier GX05. Any recommendations? Can't be Bluetooth, must be 2.4 GHz with a USB dongle. The Edifier looks ok but they switch off after 5 minutes of no audio from source. There are plenty of headsets but I'm looking for something smaller.

Is it only earbud in True Wireless Stereo (TWS) style?

What do you use this headphones for? General use? Gaming?

I must preface by saying; I don't know about the power saving system on all these headphones. Probably in something like logitech you can switch it off in the app.

Playstation pulse wirless earbud with playstation link USB dongle.

    JBL Quantum TWS

There are others but that's what I can think of at the moment.

    • Thanks. A free of those look similar but will check. It's for general use (microphone important) but I realise most of the earbuds are sold as "gaming". Thanks again.

checkout Hecate GX05 (Hecate is a brand by Edifier) https://www.amazon.com.au/Edifier-Wireless-Earbuds-Bluetooth…

20% off at checkout right now, seems to be similar price everywhere including alixpress. but Amazon is a safer option if you need to return.
if you use the included usb-c dongle you get 15ms latency that’s almost nothing.

Edifier is a budget brand I’ve seen it posted on ozbaragin before some had good to say and some had bad things.

GX07 has ANC but no mention of low latency or usb-c dongle so I think GX05 is better.

    • Yup but I think the GX05 switches off after 5 minutes or so if no audio is received from the source and battery life is about 4 hours, not great but the price is very good. Otherwise, I agree it looks good and price is very nice. The other earbuds are $300+, which is a huge difference obviously. Thanks.

yeah just thought I’d mention it because I haven’t seen many TWS earbud type which comes with USB-C dongle for super low latency.

if you have a newer iPad with USB-C you should be able to use it with that too.

I use these cheapies for work, grabbed them when they were on sale. They've been fine. I don't think they switch off after 5 minutes - I've never noticed it, but haven't tested it.

    • Thank you. How much were they when on sale? Mic any good in calls? Meaning background sound and quality. I understand they are only $70 but microphone ok for that price?

$45. Yes, mic is fine, never had any complaints.
The reviews on amazon were mixed, but given the price and Amazon being good with returns, I thought I'd give them a chance.
I use them all day everyday for Teams meetings - they've never let me down.
Not the greatest for music, but OK for listening to something in the background while I work.

Soundcore have a set called the VR P10 that I use on the PlayStation. It will Bluetooth to your phone at the same time to pass through phone calls if you wish

  • I ended up buying GX05 from Amazon. They work fine. I'm told the mic makes me sound as if I am using the built in microphone but still clear and easy to hear. Also not sure how good they are on background noise but for the price can't complain (I watched YT videos on more expensive brands and they also spent great for background noise considering their office). They apparently turn off after 10 minutes of no audio, about 4 hour battery life of using 2.4G and the range is about 10 metres before connection drops. Overall happy with the purchase.
