Black Friday coming up and wanting to buy outdoor wifi (not POE) security camera. Never had any before so do not have experience with it. There a few mainstream brands like Tapo, Reolink etc but what I don't know is how good their apps are. I would want a solid app that runs on mobile devices and Windows 11 desktop.
Can you make me a recommendation?
Recommendation for Outdoor Wi-Fi Security Camera with Solid App

If you answered to any of those questions with a "yes", "no" or a numerical value… the answer is Reolink.
Mains powered, outdoor use, at least webgui, wifi, any under $200 each.Cheers
I’m a fan of eufy but the app is meh, and no pc app.
Imou mobile app also a bit quirky but has a pretty nice official pc client
Eufy, you can buy referbs for half price at official store, I have two Eufy 2C Pro (2K resolution) with solar panels from ebay, runs well
Reolink seems to have a camera for every situation ( maybe not LPR) .. , App is pretty snappy and they have one for mobile and desktop devices .
Do not use Wyze cams if you ever thing you need to use the footage , cheap but very unreliable cams and app.search for " The Hook up" or/and "Lifehackster" on YouTube to get some reviews on cameras , these are the go to ppl for that
Avoid Arlo, app is laggy and the subscription model is best avoided
Reolink
Thanks guys or gals. Surprised no one mentioned TP-Link, thought their's are pretty good?
Battery camera, weather resistant, desktop client. Solar, hardwired or recharge manually? Price guide?
