Only a year and a half and already shut up shop. Doesn't seem like Amex, a $192b company put much resources into it. Maybe not enough margin in the business unit?

Hardly surprising… The way these businesses like Shopback make money or value is through harvesting your purchase, shopping data. Amex already have access to this, so what value add did they get from it?
Only Qantas, Velocity make it in the form of airline points, flybuys and CBA also ditched it.
They were competing with ShopBack, Cashrewards and the likes. I wonder which cashback service will be next to fall?
