    Offer has been updated!
First 100 customers now get free shipping on orders over $20, just use the code "OZBargain-FREESHIP" at checkout.

  • $54/kg? That's a paddlin

  • Ahh, another predatory advertising post. Was interested in their product, added a bag of 1kg beans to the cart, to see if their 2 coupons stack (they do in fact), and put in my address for shipping to be calculated (unselected 'Email me product information and offers' first). Without checking out, I've now had follow-up spam convincing me to checkout with such lines as "Your taste is impeccable, exquisite in fact". A shame the company has no taste in predatory email sourcing. Negged.

      Hi @Griefbringer

First of all, thanks for the feedback. Predatory is a big statement, I'm sorry you feel that way.
If you have unchecked the "Email me product information and offers" you definitely should not be getting follow up marketing emails and I can see why that would be more than a little annoying.

      This has now been fixed!
I have just checked our email system as it should not have sent you a message.
It looks like there was a setting missing that would stop that specific email from being sent to anyone who has unchecked the box for marketing.
This has been fixed thanks to your comment, now no one in the future will have the same problem.

We have recently updated a few of our systems and it looks like this one got missed.
I apologies for the inconvenience, thanks again for raising the issue!

      • "A setting missing" doesn't make a lot of sense; why would an email need to be turned off despite declining emails in another box. Nonetheless, the first actual attempt at fixing it and acknowledging it, so neg removed.

    • Have you thought about unsubscribing?

Jasper Coffee, bought a bag. Keep up the good work, let's now see how good is the coffee.

    • Thanks @chabz, I hope you enjoy your coffee :)

  • Just arrived today, haven't tried it yet but just had a question about having a best before date over a roasted on date, I'm assuming this just the roasted on date + 1 year?

Also my 2c/feedback about having the Styrofoam peanuts in the shipping box, not having them in the box and having the bag float in it wouldn't bother me at all as a consumer (you're the first guys I've seen do it), but not having them seems more appealing to me being more eco friendly :)

      Hi @D-pt

I'm glad you have your coffee!

That is correct on the roast date. Blends can be tricky to do roast date on as they are made up from multiple coffees, sometimes roasted over 2 or 3 days.
Coffee usually tastes great after about 5-7 days after roast as you may already know.
Too early after roast and it will still have a lot of excess gas in the beans.

The bags we use do a very good job of keeping the flavour and aroma in for quite some time. Obviously after you open it, you will want to drink it within a week or put the coffee in an airtight and dark container to maintain freshness.

As for the styrofoam peanuts, they are not in fact styrofoam! These are actually very eco friendly biodegradable peanuts!
      Check them out - https://www.awesomepack.com.au/products/100-litres-void-fill…

They are safe to put in the sink and was with water, they will dissolve in your hands with no bad chemicals.
We have found that if the coffee sits in a box by itself the packaging and label can get damaged from being knocked around too much.

      I hope that helps.
      Enjoy your coffee!
