    USA (last year)
    Singapore and Malaysia
Indonesia and Hong Kong back in my childhood
    Vietnam (pre covid)

Bucket list: Japan. Currently planning and researching so I can go next year, most likely solo

  • 24 countries before covid and 1 after covid.
Bucket list ; US, Canada, some of the countries in Africa/ S America.

  • Singapore - Spent a couple of days, very clean city but feels somewhat familiar to Australian cities
England - Visited 3 times, spent the most amount of time there. Love the history and the football culture
Belgium - Stayed overnight in Brussels, loved the architecture
Estonia - Probably my biggest recommendation of all the countries I've been to. Tallinn is an incredible city
France - Brought in 2020 in the Pyrenees, stopped in at Carcassonne too, awesome
Greece - Visited Athens, loved the history, caught COVID. Worse places in the world to be COVID positive than belly up in the Mediterranean. Don't go if you don't like cats. They're everywhere
New Zealand - Didn't get the hype around NZ until I was flying into NZ and I saw the landscape. Then it all clicked.

I have visited Australia. I love it so much, I don't desire to leave it.

How about we go around the room and tell everyone a surprising fact about ourselves?

I'll go first, I've spent so long in white collar jobs that this thread made me angry.

41 countries. Too much effort to list them all.
Also agree that India was my worst.
Japan is my favourite, have been 15+ times.

    • Interesting. Why Japan 15 times? We are going for a longer holiday there after Christmas and have never had a desire to go until one of our children chose it for their post HSC trip. What are some of the gems?

Interesting thread. FlyerTalk and TripAdvisor is where it's at for frequent travellers.

I visited Hutt River Province and even had a good yarn with the prince over tea.

  • New Zealand, USA, Canada, Taiwan, Vanuatu, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, New Caledonia, France, Italy, Belgium, China, Macau (not technically a country), Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Vietnam, Japan, Vatican City.

  • Lots. When I was young I spent several years backpacking around in the good days before the Internet and social media ruined travel

I did a recent exercise of going through the alphabet and seeing if I have visited a country starting with each letter. The only ones I am missing are K, O, V, X, Y (Unless South Korea can be counted as a K)

I guess my next holidays are to Kazakhstan, Oman, Vietnam and Yemen.

    • Xipre ?

  • Tuva

  • Travelled to:

    Philippines
    Malaysia

    Bucket list:

    Other Asian Countries except India
Honestly mainly want to go for the food but I really don't like the heat so will have to go in the colder months
Japan is expecting the mega earthquake within this decade so that is a very nicy spicy idea
But yeah Thailand and Vietnam for the food would be nice

  • Thailand and Singapore in the 90s.
    England, Scotland, Wales in 2010.
Again England and Wales in 2017 plus Belgium, Holland, Germany, Denmark and Ireland that year.
New Zealand a few times - love the place. Plus my daughter in law was a Kiwi until she became an Aussie earlier this year so visits are family oriented.
Hope to get back to the UK one day, my father's family is Welsh and I need to dig further into family history.

On my bucket list - Spain and Italy.
