Using an Xbox Headset for PlayStation

Please can I have a little help?

My son currently has an Xbox with Astro A20 Gen 2 headphones. He is getting a PS5 for Xmas and I was hoping there is someway of him using his current headset as there is nothing wrong with it.

I’ve had a quick google but get differing answers and am easily confused. Son is saying can’t be done and needs a headset as well so I would like to prove him wrong.

If it is possible via a dongle or other device could you please link me to one.

Thanks for any advice.

With the provided USB transmitter, you can easily connect cross-platform between console (Xbox or PlayStation) and PC. You can even add an extra USB transmitter for PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X (sold separately) for expanded console compatibility, no need to switch headsets.

    Look for part number 943-000386.

I did a bit of googling and very few results come up, Logitech USA sells it but seemingly absent @ Aussie retailers or Logitech Au

    • Thank you, so it seems the headset is okay with either console but you need the correct dongle?. I did find one from the US on eBay but think it works out around $100.

I could do with the dongle from a broken headset….

      • Yeah you could buy a second hand dongle or a second hand headset which would include said dongle.
