Hi all,

Zaap by Chang Thai Lao Restaurant specializes in Northeastern Thai cuisine. We will choose a la carte from the menu at the $45 pp budget ☺️

Sign-ups are now closed! Booking locked in for 21 people. DM me if you still want to attend, I think the restaurant is flexible with the booking numbers.

Train strikes are cancelled, full steam ahead with this!

If the train strikes go ahead, I'll have to change the plans. I'll see whether the industrial action is cancelled on Friday morning and go from there.

    TK Something has a buffet for $39.50 on Tuesdays. Main highlight there is their creme brulees.

        I thought to vary it up from BBQ seeing as there are some for the meetups already, and TK can't come within budget on a weekend :(

    All events are gone, so will be coming to this one. A bit far from my house.
    Surprised it's not a Vietnamese restaurant. But Thai is also good.

      I'm open if anyone has recommendations for Vietnamese restaurants that can cater for us - please share, we aren't locked into the current place yet. @crazyboy @jiayijames

    I looked at the menu, wondering if ordering our own dishes would be a better choice since there is so much variety. $45 is a decent deal for whatever dishes you like.The banquet is pretty basic, in my opinion, as being Thai. What do you guys think?

        I think it's best to order our own dishes but need to keep track of how much each person spends to make sure it does not exceed the $45 limit.:P

      I would go with Thai restaurant as chosen above, their reviews are really good and ambience is great as well.

    The trains are on strike, but the buses are still working. I think people should be able to get there if using buses.
    Are there many people using public transport?

        No idea. If I can find a parking and have to walk 5-10 mins, I would be fine.
        That's how it is in most parts of Sydney anyway.

        It's pretty bad. You can either pay for parking at Dutton Lane or park for free at Cabravale diggers and walk a few minutes.

    I was going to catch B1 bus and train…could be even more difficult on the way back after dinner..probably not many buses???

    Thanks Dylan and everyone for a fantastic dinner. Managed to get free parking and free charging thanks to Fairfield council, so all in all a good ozb night out.
