Over lockdowns I went through and played a lot of these OG games starting from Dark Forces.
I fondly remember enjoying watching my older bro play them on the family PC a million years ago and man, they are genuinely great games, and not just because of my nostalgia factor.

      • It's true, they still hold up! In particular, the lightsaber combat (in Jedi Outcast) is truly epic (and scary!) and also the variety of guns and gunplay, is really awesome too 👍

    • There's also a VR mod for Jedi Outcast and Jedi Academy which I found really enjoyable. The game is old enough and simple enough that it works well in VR, plus the mods customisations are well executed.

Does OzBargain allow gray market CD key resellers? (Here, G2A, Kinguin, etc.)

The keys are usually obtained by credit card fraud & regional pricing abuse.

    • +2

Yes. Most people on OzBargain don't care about that sort of stuff. Seems like the most popular deals on here are related to dodging regional pricing via VPNs.

      • Definitely care about credit card fraud, but not about regional pricing abuse.
We have our fair share of "aussie tax" applied to a lot of digital stores when distribution is arguably the same in other regions.

        • Lots of people don't care too much about grey market key resellers either. We all have our own moral code that we go by and I'm no different.

I try not to say too much unless people say strange things like, Hey the developer of this game is Australian, you should support them, then link a grey market website as a place to buy the game.

    • I do understand this may be possible: so I looked at Quora:

  • If the Phantom Menace isn't in it (PS1), then that's no deal from me. IMO one of the most underrated earlier Star Wars chat communication games. I remember Mos Espa being heaps fun

    • The first stage, which also was the stage that was used in the demo, was by far the best part of the entire game. And it was pretty great!

It is sad how dead star wars is but it is amazing to remember how great it was 'before the dark times before Disney'….

    • The Empire (of the Mouse) literally took over

  • +2

Cheaper at instant gaming $13, if we are looking at grey market resellers, always check gg.deals anyway

  • Cue my memory that there is the concept of a KOTOR remake out there somewhere and to check on how its going.

    • If it was the community one, it was shutdown due to copyright issues.

    • Originally being developed by Aspyr but then transferred to Saber Interactive. With no sign other than the CEO's words, seems like it's in development hell.
