        I'd probably need 100 lives. I just don't git gud at this stuff. Maybe I need to emulate arcade versions :(

          @justtoreply: you will getting better after playing it a while
          back then I was keep playing on 30 lives and later on manage to finish the game with just 3 lives.

  It's good but without the extra lives cheats you won't get to see much of the game haha

  The collection version of Contra has a rapid fire feature enabled by default, press L trigger and in the top of the screen it should show 1 bullet which means rapidfire is off, 3 bullets means it's enabled. Once turned off:

  Once the start screens stop scrolling press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, Y, Start

  You'll get 30 lives
