Always wondered why people get these over regular freezer bags. Is it just the satisfaction of using the zipper thing?

I use them for sous vide cooking. Quicker and easier without needing to break out the vac sealer for small pieces of meat.

The zippy part is watertight, but also the plastic is a bit thicker so I use them for holding toothpaste etc in my suitcase.

I also use the huge ones for storing ice from my icemaker in the freezer – bring thicker means I can bang it around a bit to break up the chunks

  • Wow
I can actually get large ziplock freezer bags delivered to my rural address with Amazon….
…. ironically, I can't get sandwich bags delivered though

  • This Ziploc brand has great bags but have the worst holes to get the bags out, the box cardboard is pretty thick and the perforations are rough like a wood saw.

Coles has them on special as well similar if not same price.
