I just ordered one, as these bandages look like proper compression bandages. We've had brown snakes in the pool, as well as funnel webs and redbacks on the clothesline.
I wish we could have a red bellie as a pet.
Those bandages do look like compression bandages but the cheaper ones at CW linked above that have the rectangles that turn into squares when stretched correctly are a better option. If you or someone else is bitten then things aren't calm. A simple aid like the squares could make all the difference when stressed. That bandage (or maybe two) are all you really need.
Same as their first "deal", same cheap product available elsewhere for cheaper. Nothing but OzAdvertising by this mob.

No 'premium' kit in sight.I have a 2M elastic compression bandage from Ali.
As a reptile handler that has been bitten by red bellys and a brown, two bandages are better than one. It is extremely rare but, snakes can and do bite you on different limbs. you also need bandages for the splits. Cheap crepe ones a fine. Do not use crepe bandages as a pressure bandage unless that;s all you have.
When applying the bandage to the start at the bite and go down the limb, the back up as high as you can go. If the bite is in the arm wrap the bandage around the fingers to prevent the patient from wriggling them. Always mark on the bandage where the bite is.
A must is a splint so you cant bend your elbow or knee. You can break a small branch off a tree to use. Two splints should be used for the leg, one each side. Another must are the small elastic clips. Do not wash the bite area.

That entirely depends on the circumstances. Location, number of people around, ability to communicate with emergency services or someone who can relay your message etc.
ABC TV did a show on anti-venom in PNG a few years ago. Iirc one of the main contributors told a story of how he had to be rushed by his TV offsiders the to the nearest hospital after being bitten by a venomous snake (taipan?) on a field trip. The hospital had a very limited AV supply - less than he should have been administered - but he did eventually pull through because they made a decision to not hang around waiting for assistance to arrive.

Nah. I have a mate that worked in the milking room there. My main line was snake rescues, with the occasional Lace Monitor, even a baby crocadile and giving snake talks and demonstrations to industry.
I did rescues for NPs, Fire brigade, Wires, Sydney Wildelife, Police, Featherdale, Australian Zoo and whoever else had my phone number.
There are a million stories but unlike the show ponies on the Snake Wrangler TV show I don't seek publicity. I've turned down requests for TV and radio interviews and only done one newspaper interview that I vetted before it went to press. We onnl know how journalists twist a story.

Exactly, but. Telling people to remain calm in that situation is a waste of time with all the media hype around snakes. The only people that can remain calm are reptile handlers.
The media call Red Belly Blacks deadly. As I said in a previous post, there have been no recorded deaths from a Red Belly bite in Australia, and that includes pre anti antivenin.
What people don't realise is, out of roughly 3,000 venomous snake bites every year in OZ, on average two people die. The two that do is usually caused by doing the thing or not knowing they have been bittern. A brown snake bite is totally painless. Most other venomous snake bites you will know about.
As an aside. Ten people die every year from bee stings.
