Aberlour A'Bunadh 700ml $140 (Member Price, $120 with Targeted $20 Promo Code) + Delivery ($0 Pick-up/In-store) @ Dan Murphy's

170
SHOP20

Was looking to buy a bottle of Arbelour A'Bundah as a gift for a friend, the Ozbargain way, and found this deal.

  • Dan Murphy's member's price $140 (free to join)
  • At checkout I was prompted to add the code SHOP20 for $20 off.
  • Used a 5% off Dan Murphy's gift card from MYNRMA (free to join) to reduce the price to $114. Thank you Ozbargain for my education.

The T&Cs on the code say it's valid for any spend over $130 from 16/10/24 - 30/10/24. I'm not sure if it's targeted though*

    SHOP20 is targeted

    • Yes. Didn't get it. $140 is a decent price though…

  • i definitely read this as "a bundah"

    • he's moved back to La Perouse earlier this year.

  • Thanks OP, this is my favourite scotch whisky, I’m going to drop into Dan Murphy’s after work to grab a bottle.

  • Unfortunately not receiving that $20 coupon

  • Malts?

    • As many malts as you have jokes

Really want this, but the coupon doesn’t work for me, and $140 seems at bit steep for where I’m at in my whiskey journey (early days).

  • $114 is a steal for late 2024. These used to be on special around $107 3-4yrs ago.

    • I need the steal!

    Thanks! Just ordered

While in my account I took a quick look at past whisky orders… miss those days

    2014:
    Talisker 10 - $68
    Lagavulin 16 - $79
    2016:
    Nikka Taketsuru12: $100
    Hibiki 12: $120

    • Good times. I'm afraid we will never see those prices again. The Lagavulin 16 we may get as close as $110 but the Hibiki 12 at $120, no way. Are you sure you're referring to Hibiki 12 and not Hibiki Harmony? If it's the 12, you can sell it (discretely) for $900.

I will also never forget the time I got JW Black label for $25 from boozebud in 2016. It was a deal on a deal on a deal.

      • Yep, it was Hibiki 12 for $120!
Yamazaki 12 was still around $130 at the time too

Don't wake me up, let me keep dreaming of the good ol' days. Ardbeg on the same scale :(

Matching Sense of Taste prices in Brisbane. Normal price is ridiculously high. Same for many other decent single malts. DM pricing no longer lowest for many products as they are using the Aussie gouge marketing concept unless they are forced to price match.
