Archie Rose are running their free canned cocktails promo again. Once you add $65 or more into your basket the cocktails get added on automatically, although it seems to be broken now. Worked for me once and then gets stuck in a loop trying to add the cocktails to your cart. Don't checkout unless you can see the cocktails as an extra item in your cart.

Up from $50+ last time, and 12 cans instead of 24 like last year…

Personally I think Archie Rose does some very nice spirits so I've been waiting for this deal to run again to grab their basic gin.

The email said over $65 but I got the free cans with their basic gin which costs exactly $65.

    So the spirits are actually good? I am very dubious when a company is giving away premixes like this.

      We liked their Gin so well worth it, the cans on their own would probably be worth $60ish

      I thought the canned cocktails were great but overpriced at their standard price per case of 24.

      They seem to run this promo when stock of their cocktails gets too high or is running close to the expiry date. In the past they've run this and most people received the same 2 types of cocktail (gin and tonic, and vodka lime) so it's likely something similar will happen.

      On the plus side, last time this ran it went long enough for me to test their drinks and like it enough to order a second time for more cocktails.

      Yes they make great Gin. If you are based in Sydney, the gin tasting in Rosebury is worth a visit.

      Their gin is really good. I've had two of these packs so far and don't regret it, they're actually nice little premixes going with a decent Australian gin. Always a little overhyped and overpriced (although at least better than the companies that buy plain spirit and essentially put a teabag in it of various herbs), but with the freebies it's worth while.

      Their whisky I'm not a fan of personally, the "double malt" is pretty eh for $85 and I'd much prefer the Starward two fold (which is regularly on sale for $65ish). The single malt was really disappointing, it is generic and felt like it needed a lot more time aging (probably because it did, it's very thin and harsh for $120). I only ever tried batch 1 though, I haven't had it again since, but going by the reviews on Dan Murphy's it hasn't exactly been a huge hit.

        $65 x 2 = $130, so how would a $119 order qualify for 2x12 cans if split?

          I meant more if you were that close to the $130 mark, it might be worth splitting the orders and adding something small to each to qualify each one.

          For instance they sell accessories, $10 whiskey glass seems to be the cheapest item.

            @werdplaya58: I can't seem to get the bonus 12 cans to add after doing my first order. So maybe not. I did not try incognito though as i dont need another order.

    Decent deal but calling a 6% drink a cocktail is laughable. Fancy marketing word I get it, sounds better than "premix".

      Premix is two ingredients, cocktails is 3+ so it technically is a cocktail.

      But you mentioned 6% which is what's on the graphic on the website, but the email graphic has those same cocktails all at 4% (plus the vodka lime which they don't seem to stock anymore).

      Will be interesting to see what arrives; 4% or 6% variants, or if everyone ends up with vodka lime.

    If you are looking for something different go for the blasphemy. It’s basically a coffee / whisky cocktail similar to an espresso martini (but with whisky). And at 40% it packs a punch. $85 with 12 free cans is a HELL of a deal…

    maybe I've turned into an alcoholic but do the cans even have any alcohol? I have the 12 cans from last time they did this and couldn't even feel a slight buzz after drinking 4 of those cans.

      They're only 330ml 4%. Not sure if these new ones will be 4% or 6%.

    Be aware that the Canned Cocktails mostly if not all were short dated late promotion. The gin was nice with tonic water. Also good with sparking water I guess.

    Ive done this a couple of times. You get random cans, but most of them have been good. I actually think the $65 gin is one of their better ones, it's a classic dry gin and goes down very nicely. This is absolutely a bargain.
