    BLM = Battery Life Matters

    Check the battery percentage.

  • Comes down to the individual handset, its age/generation and the quality and provenance of any repair parts fitted by others. For my money, I'd trade with a reputable reseller (like Phonebot).

  • Most times I buy my phone from Green Gadgets. Choose excellent as condition you will most likely get one that is almost as new. I return once after 4 months of use. Faulty blurry camera for s21 ultra. Get full refund. Too bad, I love the phone. If you change your mind within 30 days, you can always return it too, they will accept it.

    • Most times I buy my phone from Green Gadgets.

Do they have a physical store?

      • They don't seem to have physical store. Returning phones usually addressed to Auburn, NSW.

Since when did eBay commence refurbishing iPhones?

  • Pretty accurate to the rating condition. Wouldn't buy one below "excellent".

Curious, do u guys worry about germs with second hand goods?

    • +3

Viruses, bacteria and parasitic organisms will have been rendered non-viable by the time the merchandise is delivered. But you do need to be wary of fungi…

      • Right, thanks just curious thats all

    • Nah. When I get a second hand product like that, I cough on it a few times and let my guys go into battle. Clean it right up.

      • Lol

  • I’ve used 3 dot brothers dot mobile on eBay.

    Can’t complain.

  • You’ll generally get far better deals buying off individuals trying to get rid of their old phones rather than a business whose profit derives from selling you a phone at a marked up price.

But you also won't have consumer rights, a 12 month warranty or a change of mind policy

      • Incorrect. First of all buying through eBay you effectively get a 1 month warranty, and if the phone still has some of its initial 24 month warranty you inherit that too.

If you buy it at market price then you can resell it at market price - there’s your change of mind policy.

I’ve always found it worthwhile to buy from an individual and save a few hundred dollars, others may not.

      • Some third party reseller of refurbished items offer 30 days change of mind (can you get this even in JB?), and 1 year warranty. Few offers longer like 2 years.

    • Also have to check that the phone support Australian phone bands, isn't locked to someone else's account ,etc.

Yeah it would also be remiss to not check if the phone is a painted piece of wood.

        • +1

          Indeed.

Pieces of wood being mailed weighing the same as iPhones is almost certainly a scam.
