Be prepared to pay the Dyson tax on replacement batteries and parts for years to come!!
18v battery adapters are readily available, and replacement HEPA filters are dirt cheap from China. The vacuum is so popular and the aftermarket parts are so common you'll never need to buy from Dyson directly again
Do you know if this model has a removable battery? I'm not sure that it does :(
It's not "removable" per se, but it's only held in with 3 screws. Check bdl's comment below about adapters. If you've got any kind of 18v tool batteries lying around you get the adapter for your brand and just screw it in where the battery is removed from

V10 or V8 for a mostly tiled 2-bedroom apartment (carpeted bedrooms)? I checked rtings.com but I didn’t get the sense that the V10 was significantly better to warrant being $300 more. What do you reckon?
have a v8, it's pretty freaking amazing. Hairs get tangled, but easy to pull out and just cut with scissors :)
Just get the V8 and save the cash I think. Battery life won't be an issue for V8 for 2 bed apartment (initially at least).

Bought Dyson battery from Amazon they are dirt cheap and last twice the vaccum time, Dyson batteries that's re build into Dyson so trash don't know why they don't use Hight capacity batteries, if you look at xiami vacs last way longer

It's one of the occasions where the phrase "buy cheap, buy twice" is very appropriate. I've been through so many cheap vacuums (including one highly touted here on OzBargain), it would've been cheaper and easier to just buy the Dyson upfront
I am an ebay plus member but can't' use the PLS250 code. It only offers me SNSM11 code which is $20 discount. Not sure what's that based on?
