Time to Buy Bambu Lab A1 3D Printer @ $439.00 AUD?

Hey guys,

I am a noob when shopping for 3D printers and I am a beginner. Looking at the forums Bambu seems the way to go but I recently got an ad from them with their early black friday sale.

I am looking at the Bambu Lab A1 3D Printer non-bundle @ $439.00 AUD?

Looking at price history and other forum and deals on Bambu…. seems like a good catch? I do understand Bambu seem to participate in the good old price hike then discount with their 'sales'.

Yes, they basically just trying to go hard on price to try and lock down the market while they can.

Been happy with my a1 mini and a1

Any reason to go one of the more advanced models?

    • Only if you want to print more filament types. Usually the more abrasive types. You may be able to upgrade parts to hardened alternatives that allow you to do this on the A1 but not entirely sure. Also, the A1 does not come with an enclosure so its hard to maintain higher ambient temperature which can aid when undertaking certain types of prints.

I have had their A1 Mini for a couple of months and so impressed I've ordered the A1 for larger jobs and cut down on print speed. Two jobs at once :-)
Mine has been flawless using Bambu Labs and Sunlu filament (PLA & PETG).

  • I've got my bundled one in the mail from the Amazon order, unfortunately paid the extra $90 but eh not that big of a deal. Very keen to try it out, did a massive trawl in reviews and user experience and Bambu appears to be the leader in quality and usability.

  • Went the P1S

  • Would this be a good printer to build one of the drones on flightory.com
