Extra 50% on the Buy-Back Value for Pre-Loved IKEA Furniture @ IKEA (Free Family Membership Required)

200

It's back on again. Ends 25 November 2024.

How does buy-back work?

  1. Click through to the buy-back estimate form to tell us a bit about what you'd like to re-sell.

  2. Bring your assembled furniture and price estimate into the Exchanges & Returns section of your local IKEA store, located near the exit.

  3. Co-workers in-store will then finalise your buy-back and give you the refund card.

Good news, we've recently been able to start accepting Children's IKEA products. When in doubt, trust that anything on the estimation tool online is a valid product. If you don't see your product in this tool, it might not be one we are able to accept just yet.

  • It's a cool idea but having to bring it back assembled makes it hard work…

    • Worth it

      Your furniture is unassembled?

    • Yep definately, pretty much most of IKEA items do not transport well when assembled. I have used this once for a office desk where I took it apart, transported it and reassembled it at the store. Got $100 IKEA voucher. Would have been easier I sold it on gumtree for $50 cash.

Beware - I took a couple items and IKEA Marsden park refused to accept them. Inspite of choosing the worst category (can’t remember what it was) the manager just came and said we can’t accept it. The items were obviously in used condition.

Plus - we had to take the items back home with us, can’t be left there if they don’t accept it.

    • They did mention in the T&C:
To be eligible for our Furniture Buy Back service, products must:
      •be structurally sound and safe
      •be in resalable condition
•be of acceptable quality and Ot for the purpose the products are or were advertisedfor
•owned by you and not carrying any hidden debts or security interests
•match our descriptions of the products and not be modiOed from their original state
•meet the promises we make or propose to make about performance, condition andquality of the products.

can’t be left there if they don’t accept it.

      Wanna bet? Lol

  • IKEA website can't give us a quote for the children bed we bought from them in 2018 (I can still find the receipt in IKEA purchase history). I was presented with the following description "Unfortunately, we are not able to buy back our full range of furniture."

The children bed is in pristine condition as my son only slept on it for less than 90 times.

What's your point? They don't want to sell that particular item again. It's got nothing to do with how little use it has had.

My item is also not on the Buyback list. Mine is even brand new in box. I simply said fair is fair and moved on

      • My bad if what i said offended you. I was merely telling all to check IKEA Quote first before bringing your old assembled furniture over. I was also dissapointed as I thought my children bed would be easy to assess as "AS NEW" condition but i had no luck getting a quote even.

    • The following categories of products are not currently eligible for the Furniture Buy Back & resell service:
      • Non-IKEA products
      • Home furnishing accessories including lighting and textiles
      • Add on units, and componentry

      • Mattresses and bed textiles (such as blankets and mattress toppers)
      • Kitchens including bench tops, cabinets and fronts
      • Modular wardrobes and accessories
      • Electrical appliances/products

    waste of time

    • Yep their online quote is pointless. Unless the item looks like new your going to get the lowest rating.

The hours wasted disassembling, packing it driving it to the store and reassembling at the store for like $100 IKEA voucher is a spit in the face.
