  • Is this any good for espresso via an aeropress?

    • Nice question to kick off the comments!

It's deliciously sweet for both :)

  • Ordered! Only just got the moments blend but couldn't pass this up!

    • Wonderful, thank you so much for another terrific order, it really does mean a lot :)

  • Got this one a couple months ago and quite enjoyed it! Used a manual grinder and brewed it with a French press. Has a bit more clumping/static than normal so make sure to give the beans a spray before grinding.

    • +1

Morning @Etherkai music to my ears to know how much you've enjoyed this terrific Single Origin from Peru, thank you so much for the order and fantastic feedback!

Different coffees can have somewhat varying amounts of static based on a number of factors, this one's relatively on par for what you'd expect from a Washed South American Medium Omni Roasted, but it would have more that than for example a Brazil Natural roasted to a similar tech profile :)

  • Hi can you please get back to me about an issue with the previous batch of coffee beans? The beans are no good. ORDER #66759

    • +2

Morning @knighterrand I have replied to the email you sent on Tuesday regarding our Colombia Single and am awaiting your response :)

  • How is this for a Bialetti stove top?

    • It works a treat for Stovetop :)

      • Thx ordered :)

        • Fantastic, thank you so much!

  • How do people find this blend when drinking black?

    • That’s the only way I consume it (filter, French press and stove top) and these Peru beans are my favourite.

Are you not grinding anymore? :(

    • +4

A grinder will uplift your coffee experience more than any other equipment besides good beans. Look to get one.

      • If only I was the "Bench Space" owner :( Difficult to sell to my wife we need a grinder :P

        Cheers thank you!

Today I had my first cup of Brazil single-O, it was a fruit bomb :D Now I am stuck with 1 kg to benefit from this deal lol

    • What do you mean?

      • I make milk based coffee, the Brazil Single origin I bought on the last deal arrived yesterday so I made one cup today. 1:1 20g in 20g out, it was fruity and sweet in flavour. A bit weak in strength but I guess I added a bit more milk. I liked it.

Grinder is also new, hasn't seasoned yet, so no expectations but wow. I like fruity coffees lol

        • I had this originally. Go a bit coarser, and if you can, drop it to 6 bar. Turned it to a completely different Dark choc/ Milo flavour. Actually bizarre how different it can be.

*Edit - just read it again and you like fruity. Brazil shouldn't be, but if it works for you..that's all that matters.

          • @tunzafun001: I can try, I have the ability to control flow on BDB. Do you mean 1:1?

During my last order of this single-O an year ago, I felt it was hot chocolate. I was doing 1:2 back then, only this time I followed their brew guide.

            • @sqheaven: I was getting choc notes with just under 1:2.

              • @tunzafun001: There are three parts to a shot, if you do 1:1 the shot would be acidic (lively, sharp, like maybe a lemon or apple like sharpness), to counter this, we run the shot longer, 1:2. Second half of the shot will counter this acidity with bitterness. I forgot the third part 😂

I have been watching some videos lol

I am very fine on the grind, on cold days, the grinder goes even finer even though nothing has changed. DF83 is a tough beast to tame. Finer means, bringing out more fruityness. To counter this I can dose little bit less.

Keeping everything same, since roast date was 20th. Will see how flavor develops.

  • Drats made an order for moments blend just this morning as my supplies are low. Any chance i can add a bag of this to my order (hasn’t dispatched yet) so i can give it a go without forking out for extra shipping?

    • Morning @tokziktigah no worries at all, we can make that happen for you, simply send a reply email to your order confirmation email :)

  • Not going to lie, I was pretty devastated to see the Tim Tam had been swapped out for Biscoff in my most recent order. But I've seen the price of Tim Tams recently, so I get it :)

    • Hey @PurchaseAnxiety appreciate the feedback!

We sent out an email prior to the change to our newsletter subscribers detailing the reason for the switch. Yes, you're right that Tim Tams have been going up a bit in recent times, however that wasn't the primary reason we switched, there were a number of other determining factors. We kept experiencing manufacture issues between lack of available supply to product defects forcing us to return boxes back to then and wait for replacements. We were seeing a small, but growing number of people for one reason or another letting us know they couldn't eat Tim Tams, the upgrade to Lotus Biscoff address virtually all these concerns. Finally, although Tim Tams pair quite well with chocolatey and earthy coffees, they tend to not go as well with fruity, floral or high acidity coffees, Lotus Biscoff pair quite well with virtually any coffee :)

  • How does the taste compare to the Thank You Blend?

    • Appreciate the query @freedomofspeech !

Our Peru SO will be a bit more of a sweet malt flavour with a slightly lower acidity kick :)

  • is this coffee fair trade/ethical? are workers paid a living wage?

    • +2

The Farmer's that grow our coffee receive more than Fair Trade and you'll find more about our sourcing practices here :)

  • Thanks! Ordered!

    • Amazing, thank you so much!!!

  • Is this a medium roast?
How does it go in the V60 pour over?

    • It sure is, it works a real treat for Pour Over :)

  • Nice! Too bad we already have 4kg of Lie Blue to drink and freeze. Otherwise would hop on it.

    • +1

      Love the freezing skills!

If you're really keen on this one you can always place a delayed dispatch order, currently up until 19 December is available :)

  • How do you recommend freezing it?

    • +1

There's a few way, depending on the result and effort you're willing to put in:

      1) Simply just put the good stuff in the freezer in the bag/s they arrive as soon as your order is delivered
      or
      2) Pre-portion into fortnightly quantities and freeze 1-2 weeks after the roast date
      or
      3) Pre-portion into single doses, vac seal them and freeze 1-2 weeks after the roast date

Hope one of the 3 options is a real winner for you :)

      • Very helpful. Thanks!
