TPG Mobile Approved Devices

Hi all,

I’m considering purchasing a Nothing 2a from JB Hi-Fi, but it’s not listed among TPG’s approved devices.
After contacting TPG support, I was informed that the phone is incompatible and that I can only select from their approved devices.
this is just ridiculous!

  • i didn't know that there was a TPG approved device list, but i think the solution is obvious …

    • OzB favourite Moto G54 5G not on the approved list LOL

"unless otherwise agreed with Vodafone in writing, a Vodafone SIM and/or eSIM can only be used with Approved Devices as specified by Vodafone"

If the Nothing 2a passes the SMS 3 to 3498 checker, which I expect it will but I have not been able to find any reports that it does, then you will have it in writing that its approved.

  • Check the phone's imei through AMTA website. If passed, then go ahead.

My OnePlus phone is not in the list of any telco companies, I think. The phone's imei has passed the AMTA website.

TPG has merged with Vodafone. Vodafone doesn't have 3G anymore. I use Vodafone, Boost Mobile (Telstra) and Amaysim (Optus). All work in my OnePlus phone so far, include Moto G54 as backup.
