I always say there's no such thing as too many flashlights and while this one may come in a small package it'll still leave you satisfied. Out of all the colours black is the best due to having an Osram P9 6500K 1100 lumens emitter, while White uses an inferior Nichia 519A 5000K 800 lumens emitter (more info here). There's a review at 1lumens here.

It has a P9 6500K LED with a maximum output up to 1100 lumens with a light angle of 175°, 7 different light modes, 1100mAh USB-C rechargeable 18350 battery, IP68 waterproof rated, a better pocket clip than the G2 and a magnetic base for mounting.

If you're after another battery other than the included 18350 sized battery I recommend looking at KeepPower batteries.

a small package it'll still leave you satisfied

Well as they say, it’s not the size, it’s how you use it

    -or so they say…

My wife keeps a Sofirn Q8 Plus in her nightstand.

Damn , practically need two hands to handle that one

That is one sweet torch. Does get a bit hot.

I got a Osram LED torch because back then I read Elgato’s claims of using them in their keylight, how Osram are made in germany and have a 10x longer lifespan on average compared to cheaper brand LED’s.

it’s not a 5 star torch it charges with micro USB and has only 2 brightnesses and a strong magnet at the end but it’s very easy to use small and easy to hold just single button press control and I got it for the Osram P8 LED because it should last a very long time.
sorry I can’t link to it because Amazon doesn’t sell it anymore.

weirdly I can’t find that info in their current V2 version, maybe it doesn’t use Osram?

    • sorry wasn't clear enough. "weirdly I can't find that info on Elgato's current Keylight V2".

Out of all the colours black is the best due to having an Osram P9 6500K 1100 lumens emitter, while White uses an inferior Nichia 519A 5000K 800 lumens emitter.

Not really an inferior emitter, just an alternate option.

The Nichia 519A has a 90CRI high color rendering and is 5000K (daylight) whereas the Osram P9 is 6500K (cool white) and higher lumens.

Here's a comparison between Osram VS Nichia

    • Right? The Nichia's vastly better if you care about things like knowing what colour a cable is, or spotting dog**** amongst the leaves on your night walk.

I have one of these sitting in my car and it's really good, lights up way more than i'd expect for the size + price point

Wow. Crazy expensive for a flashlight.

    • Not at all. If you want to get expensive in the "mini" league you'd buy IMALENT MS12

      • Haha, that's more expensive than any jewelry that I bought for myself or any of my past girlfriends lol.

    • yeah I think so too. I paid $28 after coupon on Amazon for my normal shape osram P8 torch, it was usually $35.

but based on previous comments I think this is one of their kickstarter torches so a bunch of people really wanted it. tiny and weird shape if you ask me but must be popular.

also I thought you were meant to hold the tiny torch like this. 😂

A cheaper/budget version of this torch would be the Wuben E7, which uses the same emitter (Osram P9).

With the E7 you also have the option to purchase additional accessories such as the extension tube to use 18650 batteries and/or a gesture control sensor.

The headband is compatible with both the E7 and X0. (There's currently 2 version of the headband, one with the top and one without)

I received mine today, and it's fantastic! Everything has been designed perfectly. The quick-click feature that allows the light to be easily added or removed from the headband is a great idea, along with the tilting and sensor options. They've clearly put a lot of thought into this product.

also for people interested in this type of torch worth mentioning there was one this shape that had a non removable battery.

I can’t find it now but I saw it posted on ozb with comments mentioning it.

Both the X0 and E7 has a removable 18350 Battery.

The X0 just requires a tool to open (ie. split ring pliers or camera lens spanner).
