10YO @ $48.30 looks good as well. Loch Lomond Original is my everyday go to drink even at similar price, so 10yo could be better.

      • Thanks for the tip! Just ordered 3 bottles and got free delivery too as they calculate the $200 for free delivery based on the price before discount code.

    • My local has it for $142 so $99.40 after code.

That's pre covid price. Highly recommend. Put your $59.50 towards one.

    • CR has upped cashback on this.

  • Nice I got it down to 56.52 with my friends TM discount 👍🏽

Thanks, I picked up Green Ant Gin for $50.40.

    • Any good … sounds like a critter wine which id usually stay clear of

  • How come in western movies, everyone drinks whisky for 1 bit, even in Tombstone 'Doc' drinks it for half bit?

    • I tell my wife I only drink whisky a bit

      • I tell mine I only drink for a little bit

    • Donno what you mean….first time hearing 'bit' as a unit of measurement

      • bit -> bitcoin.

  • Someone mentioned the code works on chivas 18, then the deal became unavailable… The code is not working with chivas 18 anymore.

    • That was me, sorry I redacted my comment as Chivas isn't included in the offer

      • The code did work while I was hesitating about getting the LL 18. Then it became invalid. lol… All good !

  • Dont know where to ask so thought post here

I think i remember a few months ago there was a deal on ozb

    50 000$ spirit discounted to $30 000

Does anyone have a link to it?

    Thanks

    • More recently than that there was a 50yo Glenfiddich Third Edition for $32999.99 at Costco. The post was removed: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/870980

      • Thanks man!

If you don't even know the name of the "spirit", I don't know why you'd be interested…

      • Want to see what it tastes like. Gotta try everything in life

  • Thanks stocked up on random stuff I didn't need but bought because discounts stacked. Regular OB stuff

  • Thank you OP! Looking forward to my first single malt scotch whisky - Glen Scotia. Usually drink Jameson

is it just me or the filter by category doesn't work? doesn't work on my phone and doesn't work on desktop pc

    • Yeah it doesn’t work. Just sort by price if you’re after spirits

    • Can confirm, website seems to have issues.

  • 78 degrees whiskey is great https://www.firstchoiceliquor.com.au/spirits/78-degrees-doub…

$55 after discount is a steal, great distillery in adelaide hills and well worth thr price for its quality

  • Thanks, was looking for a decent Campbeltown Scotch Whisky.

    • Wait until you try loch lomond 18 or GS Victoriana…

      • Prefer the smooth taste, how’s Loch Lomond taste like?

        • +4

          My notes from last tasting…

          Nose.

Equal parts sweet and peat, maybe a touch on the sweeter side. Reminiscent of honey but a dark medicinal honey like Manuka. Apple. Vanilla. Wood shavings. Rubber. And uniquely, Soy Sauce. Yes, a unique umami that really reminds me of the smell of light soy sauce.

          Palate.

Smooth. Very rich in flavour and no youthful ethanol burn. Dark honey. Vanilla. Almost a candy sweetness. Tiny bit of spice. Light peat but it lingers with the oily temperance. The smoke is there, but does not intrude. Light pepper and light dryness on the finish

          • @kickling: Thanks a lot , appreciate the feedback

          • @kickling: Quite a few tasting notes mentioned about the earthy and engine oil tast?

            • +1

@JieZ: Yeah. That's lightly peated Campbelltown style

      • I thought Loch Lomond is Highland region. Anyways thanks for suggestion, will look out for deals.

  • Now it says the code is invalid. Cannot complete purchase. Anyone has this as for now ?

    • It’s only available for selected products.

      My order just went through.

    • Yeah, I just placed an order and the code still works.

  • I tried it on Glen Scotia Double Cask but no luck. That is weird.

  • Worked for me just before 12pm

  • FYI it looks like free shipping applies on the cart cost before the 30% discount I just ordered $164.50 worth with free shipping

  • Saying out of stock for delivery this morning in Vic, unsure about other states.

  • back on stock but Harbour version

    • Haven't had the harbour but keep in mind it's 40% compared to 46% and doesn't state non chill filtered like the double cask.
