Looking to Buy 2nd Hand Toyota Camry Hybrid below 30k 2018-2021

Hi I’m looking to buy Toyota Camry hybrid.
I’m the person who has trust issues I don’t know where I can trust to buy a car with someone who sells in true value. However I’m looking for the year within 2018-2022 max. So other suggestions are welcome.

  • Are you asking for help/suggestions as to where to look? Asking to see if anyone here will sell? OzBargain Forums is not the place for the latter.

No, I’m asking suggestions to where to look?

    • The usual places like Carsales, a car dealer, etc.?

        Don’t forget about uncle Ian…

        • He's got a Range Rover and a VW Tourag (his description) that he wants to shift. (Especially off the nature strip which is dying for some reason)

  • If you have big trust issues, maybe a car isn’t for you.
    Otherwise, perhaps buy new?

If you truly don't trust random people, you would need to look for a car, bring it to a trusted mechanic for inspection (at a cost) before buying.

There must be a constant fight happening in your head I imagine. You’re on ozbargains so you love a good deal and hate paying too much but when you see a cheap car for sale you would question why it’s so cheap and what is wrong with it.

I suspect the only way you are going to be happy is to buy from a large, well established and local dealership . But you'll pay a little more for peace of mind.

If you don’t trust random people, why are you seeking advice from strangers on the internet?

Schrödinger's Camry; O.P. is being ripped off and getting a great, straight deal up until purchase, and won't know which until after buying.

If price was roughly the same, I’d rather buy a used car from a dealer. At least you’ve got some recourse if something goes wrong. Just get a the car independently inspected.

    • Thank you for your suggestion. I would better do this rather than buying in market place.

      • Dealers must provide a statutory warranty and many will offer an extended warranty for an additional fee. Many private sellers try to get the same prices as dealers but they're dreamers.

Just go to a large, retail chain of dealers and buy from them. If you have "trust issues", do NOT buy privately.

    • Wholly agree, and there are plenty around; for example

  • Hi guys, finally I did purchase a Toyota Camry 2020 hybrid from Toyota Sunbury. Can you please let me know what all I should get from the dealer when I’m getting the car delivered?
