Best iPhone 16 Plus Case

I am looking for cases for myself and wife to put on our Xmas phones when time comes.

Anyone own this.
OAKTREE iPhone 16 Plus 6.7" Waterproof Shockproof Full-Body MagSafe Case - Black/Clear

I do own cases for my kids iPads 9th gen and my old gen 6 iPad and our current old iPhone SE 2nd gen the brand below.
So I’m Tempted to go with them again.

SUPCASE for iPhone 16 Plus Case with Camera Control Capture Button (Unicorn Beetle Grip), [Compatible with MagSafe] [Built-in Stand] Heavy Duty Magnetic Phone Case for iPhone 16 Plus 6.7"

I do prefer something that has built in screen cover on front of case

The OAKTREE doesn't say whether it supports Camera Control… but I see SUPCASE does. Stunning new phone, vibrant colour with ultra thin bezel in an ugly case?
    Have you seen Arc Pulse?

  • It depends how you define "best". If you don't consider budget, more expensive is better. Average choice is Apple's official one. I bought $3 case from Temu and very happy about it.

  • Using Pitaka at the moment, next phone will be using the Arc Pulse case.

  • As I have had supcase unicorn pro cases in past for a iPhone and iPads and can’t fault them.

I’m wondering what the difference is or which is the better case of the two as I been looking at this one below but not sure which to get.

    • one doesn't have the front case and the other has the front case and a belt clip thing

  • hi OP, had a oaktree case for my iphone 11 pro and has been awesome, done lots of bumps and falls and glad to know the phone looks brand new if you take it out the case lol.

i was thinking for my new iphone 11 pro getting this

but yeah i was looking above on amazon on this supcase, its half the price but oaktree is a local aus company in adelaide so its always good to support local businesses.
the supcase looks interesting too, some have a camera lens cover so yeah now im divided which one to choose now lol

    • The oaktree looks good also and fully protected but it’s expensive, my first choice was the supcase with sliding bottom for camera the one priced about $41 which I think is a newer version but what puts me off is the thing does not have a built in screen protector which I think is important I have always been getting phone covers with this.

My current iPhone case for the se is more like the rugged version the cheaper of the ones i added the only difference it’s got a open cut out for the sliding camera switch where my se does not have such feature obviously.
And this one has an attachment to hold to your belt, I think what makes it bulky is the holder part or so called holster.
But i believe it’s just the same as my iPhone SE case I’m using now.
      Same stand at back etc.
If the case with sliding camera switch had a screen protector built in I would have gotten it but I just hate cases with no protection at front

      • you referring to this one?
        https://www.amazon.com.au/SUPCASE-Protector-Belt-Clip-Milita…

It has a belt clip holster but i can't tell if thats an attachment onto the case or pops up from the case (from the back)? I don't think i could just leave my phone on a belt clip holster lol, i'm a pocket phone man
Also this one has the front protector so i was thinking of this one to trial out (looks like amazon has free change of mind until Jan 31st but not sure i can return it if i used it? lol)

or you referring to this one that doesn't have the front screen protector?
        https://www.amazon.com.au/SUPCASE-iPhone-16-Pro-Military-Gra…
which yeah i was thinking but like you i want that front screen protector

any other "supcase" that you've found that would suit us?

        • Mine is obviously not pro as you listed it’s plus.
But the second one at first I thought it had the screen protector but when I looked again recently I noticed it had not it’s the newer one of the two cases but as it’s not got protector I’m put off.

The other one with holster yes it clips on and off if you needed to use it but by looks without using the holster this looks like the one I have now and had for past 3 years on my iPhone SE 2nd gen and with same style stand phone is like new still and still using the same protector on it since 3 years.

The holster is a handy edition if I need it but like you probably be in pocket.
As someone said Shame they never put a sliding button for the camera section like on the first one you listed but they just left it without any cover.
But I’m probably going for the one with protector one for myself and one for wife.
I be holding off in hope it’s reduced for Black Friday but maybe it will not.

I have enjoyed the cover on my se and this will probably be the same with this case.
And prices are good even if you had to buy another in a few years it’s still cheap and as said I have had this case on my se over 3 hours and still good apart from say the charge cover rubber part which you pull back and forth broke off not that long ago as i was always charging it.
Little west on protector screen but I still see clearly through it and works fine with txt and selecting etc on phone.
I actually got similar covers for kids iPads last year or year before and they protect well.

          • @bwatt72: so which one you thinking of buying now then? :)

  • The one with holster
