wait 8000 is $40 isnt that the standard onepass subscription price?

    • +6

Thinking the same, should use flybuys $10 to buy from Coles.

    • +1

Definitely not a deal given this is full price when converted

  • +1

    What is the actual hack?

    • +9

Flybuys making people pay full price! (80000 = $40)

    • +1

I read this "What the actual (profanity)"

  • +16

I thought we get 8,000 points by joining. It is the opposite.

    • +6

yea, redeeming 8000points for a $40 membership is not even a deal, its just the standard price (in form of flybuys points)

  • +5

hmm…as a Ozb, I will only sub for 1 month if the delivery fee is over $4 from those sellers….

    • this is the way

  • +8

    not really a deal… 8000 points just = $40 at Coles. what's the point?

  • +1

Not really sure how this is a “hack”….

    • +3

Agreed, ciggie butt brain! No deal nor hack.

    • +4

Its coles hack to make you use your flybuys at a silly rate.

  • +7

Sorry OP, this is not a hack or a bargain….

  • +8

Did they label this as a hack in their own email? Cringe.

  • +4

Wait till Flybuys reduces the points for joining OnePass.

Flybuys probably thinks it's a hack as it's the first time you can use your points (8000) to buy OnePass annual membership at full price ($40). Feels like a misleading ad. I saw the ad a few weeks ago and then realised the price is not reduced.

  • +3

Normal price if pay one annual payment per Onepass website.

  • +2

The smartest hack ever! Spend $8000 on goods and services at participating retailers and get “free” 1-Year OnePass Membership.

We should keep this secret for ourselves.

  • +3

Needs to be 4000 points for it to have any chance of being a bargain.

  • Pays for itself after spending $1600 in a year at Kmart, Target, Bunnings Warehouse, and Officeworks. Make what you will of that.

    • +1

It's actually $2000 because you are getting 5x points per dollar, not 5 extra points per dollar.

  • -3

I got this email last week or so and without reading the email further, I thought that it was some kind of a promo, link your flybuys & onepass, get 8k points, so I just click through until the end, and when I read the email again, it was too late. Ffffffffk 😭 $40 gone for this sheet. 😭😭

  • top hack, good that the onepass comes with free delivery, else they would add another hack, free delivery for only 2k flybuys (not suggesting ideas)

  • +2

No deal. Redeem the 8000 for $40 off shop, and pay $20 or less per actual deals that come up for membership.

  • +2

    No deal, commenting to vote

  • +2

I saw this the other day and after calculating the cost of the points, it is just the regular cost and a bad use of your flybuy points.

If it was 4000 points or under, then it would be a deal.

  • +1

This is not a hack, nor a bargain. Commenters above have it covered and I agree with them.

  • Not a deal. Not Happy Quokka :-(

  • +1

Would have been a bargain if its 800 points. 8000 points is 40 bucks, the standard price which no one in ozbargain should be paying that amount either…

  • Here’s a hack

No here's the sack Coles Marketing team
Bunch of boomers thinking they've discovered youf-speak.

no doubt the same geniuses who mark prices increases as being On Sale

  • "Redeem $40 worth of Flybuys points to get a $40 membership".

    Not a deal.
