Not quite as cheap as last time but not bad.

I went the other way recently. All digital, less hassle of changing discs especially since I remote play a fair bit now. But yeah collecting is still cool if you have nice place to display them.
I prefer disc, resell at a lower price and pass it on to the next player
overall only spent like 10 bucks for the gameYep I did a bit of that over the years. Next gen we probably won’t have the option as consoles become exclusively discless.
@EitherWayUp: Digital is all well and good until they no longer discount as there are no longer sales (retail stores discount stuff to get you to buy other products) or they decide to delist your games (like Sony was planning on doing with Discovery)
@Asterix1: They are getting rid of Little Big Planet 3 soon… I 100% get your point. I play on both PC and PS5 and one of the best things about PC is even if games are delisted from the relevant storefronts, there always a way to get them at a much much “much” cheaper price down the track 😉
@EitherWayUp: I like the move towards a discless generation, in terms of its enviro friendly(waste, reduce in shipping etc).
But the impact to local retail business man, where do i go when the wife goes shoppingalso digital should be cheaper consider all the above, yet they're not.
@Fappy Bunny: on the common resting couch in the mall with your steam deck.
@Fappy Bunny: Agreed. My decision to go discless isn’t one I’m proud of but convenience is currently a priority for me. Then again, I’ve been accustomed to Steam for a long time where digital games are usually had for pennies at regular sales so not having a disc isnt a new concept… but yes, should be cheaper digital as fewer logistical matters.
Yep, this is my business model for new release games. I like to play all the new releases and if I had to buy every new release at full digital retail, I would be broke. I do like digital and buy digital games I like on sale or if I'm going to replay but otherwise, complete once, sell it at about 20% loss and move on. This is called making smart financial decisions in life. People who play all the new releases and buy them full digital retail either have money to burn or they simply make poor financial decisions. If there is a smart way to do things, people should do them. I'm not about to spends thousands more on my hobby just because I can't be bothered changing the disc for a game I would most likely complete once. People can argue all they want about the future being digital only and that's fine, but the real issue is Sony holding a monopoly on pricing for games with no other option or competition. PC you can buy digital games from multiple outlets, they are cheaper, they also offer under 2-hour gameplay time refunds. You can also gift games etc. Sony has absolutely none of that and expect you to pay with no real refund policy. This is the part people ignore, they stick their head in the sand and go 'oh well, this is how the future of gaming is going.' If no one speaks up, companies will walk all over consumers.
@Justin9mm: I buy Resident Evil 4 on release for $89. I play it and sell it for $39 back to EB Games. Loss of only $50. Or I wait until it’s $27 on PS Store and lose only $27. Who has made the better financial decision? Moral of the story, don’t buy games on release.
One of the best games in recent years.
if u got a ps4 with 11 os or below get a dongle from aliexpress and you can DL any game and play it

Wow so no soldering required unlike the switch? Does it prevent your system from automatically self updating the OS going forward?
You were meant to say, pull that link up Jamie
have you seen the vid of the bear? jamie pull that up
Also on sale at Amazon for the physical copy, $38. But it's the US version. https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BJTKYLCB
I'm usually a physical buyer but do buy digital on sale from time to time. Completed this at launch, and this remake is well worth the price of admission even if you only complete once and have played the original.
This game is even better for those that have the PS VR2. This game is amazing in VR.
Really is one of the top VR2 games, not 'as' VR as Village unfortunately though.
I love that game
Best to get gold edition or this with DLC?
Really want to play this game but waiting on a sub $15 deal. I was able to get Resident Evil Village for like $12 on Steam only 1 year after it's release. I got Resident Evil Biohzard Gold Edition on Steam for under $15 too.
^ - I got both RE2 and RE3 remakes for under 20/30 across xbox and pc (enjoyed them enough to rebuy and trplay them on the other platform).
The standard 4 (ps2, xbox 360, xbox one, pc) and the remastered 4 (before the remake), made me motion sick in one form or another. PS2 versoon happened during the castle area…. but all of the others it occurs within the first 15 minutes of the game.
Has anyone had instances of motion sickness with the remake ?
How does this rank in terms of scariness vs Dead Space and RE2? Always wanted to get into the series but bit of a scady cat haha
Should probably pick this up! Loved the RE2 remake
bought a couple months ago. Have been a fan for years, but struggle to aim using PS5 controller in this remake. Google found that there is a dead zone issue which total ruined the experience. Haven't touched the game since.
If it was the disc I'd be all over it
